Gratitude

Weekly Gratitude 2021 51/52

Happy Sunday everyone! I can almost smell the holidays. This past week has been exhausting AF and I finally caved on Friday and asked for annual leave on Thursday so I can finish off a day earlier and have twelve days off. This weekend has been a decent one – the weather has been warm which has meant a lot of beach time and for that, I am truly grateful. I feel a little relaxed after all the beach time and wiht three more work days, I feel a sense of relief. Here are all the things I’m grateful for from 12th December to 18th December 2021:

Visiting One Drop Brewery on Sunday with Sammie, David and Teddy. It was good to catch up after ages and also get Teddy cuddles and good beers

Surviving the work week. Honestly, surviving.

Our team online Christmas party – we made gingerbread houses {flopped on that!} but it was a bunch of laughs

Dinner on Tuesday night with my friend JR in the city

Getting a personal best on squats (70 kgs) and bench press (37.5 kgs). Even more of an achievement because I was so exhausted this week

Beach time on Friday after work which included fish and chips, seagulls stealing my chips, and good chats with my friend SS.

Saturday afternoon at the beach, swimming, reading and soaking up the sun

Saturday night catch up with some friends

With just one more gratitude post left for the year, I am thinking about how to use this blog next year. I also will do my yearly life wrap-up and reading wrap-ups by the end of the year. It’s something that I have done for years and enjoy doing.

How has your week been?

Do share!

Well done on the mix of beach-time, socialising and exercising again!

Sorry work is not pleasant at the moment. I can kinda relate though hoping things will improve for me. We’ve got the Friday (24th) off as a ‘free’ day so Thursday is my last day this week as well.

Even though I’ve not been working for long I’m looking forward to the break.

Not long to go now – you’re on the home stretch! It was so good to see you and drink great beer. Teddy really loved his cuddles !
