Weekly Gratitude 2021 50/52

Happy Sunday, readers! I’m coming to you late this Sunday with my weekly gratitude post after a busy and fulfilling weekend spent with friends. The week has sped by and while it has been busy with work, I’ve managed a fair bit of social time in there too. Without further ado, here are all the things I’m grateful for from 5th December to 11th December 2021:

Sunday lunch with the lovely Lauren Chater at A Brewer’s Tale; it’d been a long time coming and it was great to catch up

Starting to use my new Emma Kate Co weekly notes planner for 2022 as it starts on the second week of December 2021

Long but fulfilling workdays given I’ve had my own private work after-hours a couple of nights a week

Watching the first ball of the summer of cricket – the Ashes this time – and what a first ball it was!

Winning trivia with a couple of other colleagues at our online all-staff annual Christmas party

Catching up with a friend HE on Thursday night after ages

A private client of mine telling me they used some strategies they learnt with me to help another kid at the school who was feeling lonely. Not going to lie, I got all teary because of how touched I was and it also reminds me how important the ripple effect is!

A lovely Saturday brewery crawling through Marrickville with a friend I ‘met’ online many, many years ago. It was good to finally meet in person and talk all things life, books, music, and expat-living

Getting cuddles with Jellybean the dog twice this week

All the cat cuddles from my clingy cats

Once again, it has been a busy and tiring week and yet, as we inch closer to the Christmas break, I am looking forward to some downtime which hopefully, will involve the beach. La Nina has not been a friend and I’ve been struggling with not having beach time after work or on weekends.

How has your week been?

Do share!

I have an Emma Kate organiser too – my third year of using one. The cricket – well done Australia – hope the remainder of the matches go your way too!

Oh awesome! It’s the first time I’ve got it and I’m liking it so far. I got the horizontal weekly planner and I like that it has the page for notes to list my priorities for the week!

Nearly over the finish line, Sanch! Gosh I remember how that felt in my teaching and administrative days…

Great catch up. Have no idea of that the weather is doing, so flexibility seems to be the call. Sigh.

Thank you for your wonderful support of my blog’s link up Life This Week in 2021.
Yes, there is one more week to go, but if you are already taking a well-earned break, I will see you again in Monday 4 January 2022.
May you be well, may you be safe, may you be content. Denyse
