Weekly Gratitude 2021 44/52

Happy Sunday everyone! I am feeling much more human this morning after spending most of yesterday sleeping, nursing a really bad headache and throwing up almost everything {including water}. This is after a week feeling super burnt out but pushing through. So I’m not sure if my mental state affected me physically or if maybe I’ve had a lingering bug all along. Anyway, I’ve managed to keep my morning coffee down so things are already looking better. Anyway, here’s looking back with gratitude at the forty-fourth week of the year from 24th October to 30th October 2021:

Catching up with my friend and previous housemate ZW for lunch on Sunday

Getting my hair cut and coloured on Tuesday after my hairdresser had a cancellation. Otherwise, I was going to be waiting till January

Pushing through the workweek and completing the projects I needed to finish before my break

Seeing the jacarandas blooming on the streets

Hosting book club at my place on Thursday night – our first in-person since June

Week 44

Going for a quick swim on Friday afternoon in the ocean even though I felt blah and didn’t want to leave the couch. Turns out, it was really good for me!

Having Sammie and David over for dinner on Friday night

My cats being very affectionate when I was down and out sick

Good chat with my parents

Good friends in real life and online checking in on me constantly this week

I have the next week off work {still have some private work to do} and I’m hoping it will help me recalibrate a bit more and help me get through the next 6 to 8 weeks before the Christmas break. My to-do list involves figuring out my life and what I want to do. So yeah, it’s not too big an ask, is it?

    Stress can cause so many odd physical problems! Whatever it is you had, I’m glad you are better and that your friends made sure you were ok. Your hair (and you) looks amazing!

    Glad you are feeling better. Stress is not good – I react like you and get all sorts of strange physical ailments! Your hair looks lovely, and how nice to be able to meet people in person again. Hope next week is good to you!
