Weekly Gratitude 2021 40/52

Happy Sunday everyone! It’s a long weekend down here for most of Australia and even though we’re in lockdown in Sydney, an extra day to the weekend is very welcome! This is especially after the full-on work week I’ve had. While the workweek was very productive, I gave it so much that most nights I was exhausted and crashed by 9 pm. It’s been a slightly crappy week with the resignation of our premier. While I didn’t vote for her back in the day, I thought she handled the NSW bushfires in late 2019, early 2020 and then the pandemic, really well. She’s always shown a lot of compassion and fairness and I’ve admired her for that. Sadly, she stepped down due to a corruption investigation. The timing is a bit shit as we’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and it would’ve been nice to have her see us out. Anyway, without further ado, here are all the things I’m grateful for from 26th September to 2nd October 2021:

A pyjama day on Sunday due to it being rainy and cold – I haven’t had one of these in ages and it was nice to just binge-watch an entire Netflix series – Clickbait – in one sitting

Feeling productive at work this week

Our new manager at work seems nice and straight-up

Online Drag Bingo at work on Thursday – I haven’t laughed like this in a while

Two PT sessions and two training sessions with my friend

Lots of love from random dogs in the parks and on the streets; I have now had strangers call me a dog whisperer

Week 40

Good walk and chat with my friend SS in the park after work early in the week

Friday morning walks along the harbour before starting work

Lovely chats with the barista while getting my coffee

Bookish chats with friends

Mid-week phone conversations with my friend

Saturday walks along the harbour on a gorgeous day and feeling very content

It’s been a big week but also, fulfilling in small ways. There’s not been much difference in terms of the routine but we are inching closer to the end. Also, with longer days from today after moving our clocks forward, there’s a sense of hope.

On another note, I am walking 80 km for mental health and raising funds for the Black Dog Institute. I would love it if you could support this cause!

How was your week?

Do share!

Lots of stuff with ‘friends’ there Sanch which is good. And keeping up the exercise as well despite work busy-ness.

I’ve got Clickbait on my list so will probably watch that next but watching The Newsreader on ABCiView at the moment.

Your post has brought back memories of pyjama Sunday’s with my daughter. That was many years ago. Sounds like quite a positive week for you despite all the goings-in. Hope this week is a good one for you also

So sad about Gladys – I miss her already! Miss you too because I didn’t get to see you this week. Still, lots to look forward to, I am so excited about the longer, lighter evenings and a little more freedom. Will definitely sponsor you – go you!

Good news there mostly..and yes, Gladys going was the shock of the week….and now as I write, dealing with her Junior Replacement. Say no more.
‘Pleased to hear the work week went OK and new manager seems ok too. Fingers crossed for you!
Son did a challenge for BlackDog – mullet growing and Daughter is doing this challenge you are, along with school teacher friends. That I am afraid is the limit for support financially. But wishing you well especially for gyms opening next week!
Great to have you link up for #lifethisweek. Next week, the optional prompt is Water. See you at Denyse Whelan Blogs then too I hope. Denyse.
