Weekly Gratitude 2021 36/52

Happy Sunday from Sydney, where it’s surprisingly turned sunny after a rainy forecast! I’ve been awake since just before 6 a.m. {thank you, body clock} and attempting to complete a writing assignment. It’s been a decent enough weekend and this week was probably one where I have most productive at work since just before lockdown. So that felt like a win when I logged off on Friday. Anyway, as we continue in lockdown, starting our eleventh week, here are all the things I’m grateful for from 29th August to 4th September 2021:

Sunday midday walk with a friend in the park to break up my writing

Submitting my essay for the final round of the YeahWrite SuperChallenge on Monday morning

Getting random dog cuddles while training in the park

Deadlifting 80 kg {1 rep} at the park. I’m so grateful for my personal training sessions keeping me sane through lockdown

Going for a quick dip in the ocean on the first day of spring. The water was freezing but it was an exhilarating feeling

Week 36

Productive work week and getting through the PowerPoint slides for my presentation next week

Exercise and walks with friends in my 5 km

Book club online on Friday night with some lovely ladies

Making mushroom risotto on Saturday night for dinner

Zoom with friends on Saturday night to celebrate one of their birthdays in lockdown

It’s been an all right week even if lockdown is dragging on. I can’t wait for warmer weather and longer days which can only mean beach time for me.

    I’ve got a draft of a post wallowing in my folders about how I’ve not adopted online stuff in the way others have – attending events on Zoom or FB Live, watching stuff I’d not normally have access to. For some reason it just doesn’t appeal at all, though I realise others get a lot of joy out of online bookclubs or exercise groups etc…

    It’s great you had a productive week at work but also managed to balance that with exercise and socialising. x

    It got to almost 30 here today and even though you and my husband love the warmer weather I dislike it starting too soon. There is even the pall of bushfire smoke here tonight. Anyway Gladys is giving us a road map out of lockdown (woo hoo, right?)
