Weekly Gratitude 2021 32/52

Hello from a rainy and grey Sydney Sunday. We have had some gorgeous winter weather so I guess we were due a rainy day. It’s not been too bad though and I have been able to step outside for a walk in my new gumboots. Other than that, I’ve managed to get some writing time, some pilates at home, and just couch time. It’s been another week of Groundhog Days in lockdown and without further ado, here is all that I’m grateful for from 1st August to 7th August 2021:

Solo Sunday walks in the sunshine around the neighbourhood but taking a different route

Having Monday off from work and getting in a walk with a friend around lunch time

Going to beach on Monday evening and enjoying the sounds of the waves

Being part of a book swap with a bunch of online friends and unwrapping the loveliest care package from Mel who picked my name from a hat

Receiving some surprise book mail this week including an ARC of My Body Keeps your Secrets

Winning a giveaway for the YA novel The Boy from the Mish run by the author Gary Lonesborough himself

Week 32

Yoga with friends via Zoom

Going for a 5.5 km run with gorgeous views

Walks with Sammie and Teddy on Friday and receiving some yummy cookies from her

Personal training session on Saturday morning in the park

Lovely walk around Greenwich on Saturday evening just before sunset

Facetiming my friends CN and SM and phone chats with my friend JR this week

That’s been my week. I think it’s the sixth one in lockdown. Or seventh? Who knows? I can’t keep track. On the plus side, there are several things keeping me going and for that, I’m grateful. You can also follow my daily gratitude pictures over on Instagram. Hope you are all keeping safe whether you are in or out of lockdown.

What a wonderful idea to have a “mail book swap”. I’d love to be a part of something like that. I still prefer physical books that I can hold in my hands. Enjoy your new books. Thank you for he coffee!

Oh a lovely balance again Sanch and it’s good you’re able to keep up your exercise despite gym closures etc… I keep meaning to try the YouTube walking thing Sammie did in hotel quarantine but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. Excuses, excuses. Congrats also on the new book arrivals.

Yes, those weeks must be rolling into each other – with no end in sight. Glad you’re finding lots to find you occupied. Also, I just saw your note about being on Instagram, so I’ve just popped over and followed you there (I’m @Booming_On). It’s a place where I spend a lot of time, many would say too much. Enjoy your week.

And now as I write, the weather has been so warm I am in short sleeves. And I am impressed with your gratitude list. Quite the variety even though, as it can be said “it feels like ground hog day”. I started a Daily Collage in Lockdown to give me a focus but I didn’t number the days..deliberately I realise. I really don’t want to know..OK. I know, its close to 7 weeks. Sigh.

Thanks for linking up for Life This Week. Next week’s optional prompt is Shopping and it will be interesting for me to decide what to write! So much has changed in #lockdown this time round. Hope to see you link up too. Cheers, Denyse.
