Weekly Gratitude 2021 17/52

Happy Sunday from the South Coast of NSW where I’m finally on holidays! I’m here for two more nights before heading to Canberra. It’s been a lovely Sunday so far but I did crawl into my holidays as I was sick on Thursday and Friday; I think I could see the light at the end of the tunnel and my body just caved with exhaustion. Anyway, it’s not the time to moan and groan, but rather, look back at the week from 18th April to 24th April 2021 with gratitude:

Going on a solo hike early on Sunday morning

Hitting a personal best with my RDL’s – 60 kgs and getting to 75 kgs with deadlifts this week

Getting through the work week

Good therapy session this week

Watching Emily Maguire speak to Bri Lee about her latest book Love Objects at the State Library

Enjoying a solo wine at Fix Wine Bar before the talk

Watching Geraldine Hickey’s stand up comedy on Friday night

Heading down the South Coast on Saturday afternoon; I enjoyed the sunset, a solo drink and dinner at the pub, and falling asleep to the sound of waves

That’s been my week. I’m on holidays for this week and the next. One week of being away and one week of staycation. I am already feeling great about not having to be at work. I love my work but I need some downtime!

How has your week been?

Do share!

I hope you have a lovely break Sanch and the week away and week home sound like a good balance.

I saw Bri Lee speak to Rick Morton at her bookclub in late 2019 and he was great. I loved Emily’s book so am I’m sure it would have been good as well.

I like the solo hike and solo wine. I need to get out more. I don’t mind doing things solo but just don’t tend to think of them…

Sounds like you have a lot to look forward to, Sanch. Falling asleep to the sound of waves is the best. I hope we get to go back to the beach this year. I missed being able to go in 2020. Nice job on the deadlifts!

Listening to waves at the beach is one of the best sounds Sanch – enjoy your break. #lifethisweek
