Weekly Gratitude 2021 15/52

Happy Sunday everyone! There is a chill in the air this morning, a clear sign that we have said goodbye to summer here. I think I’d been holding on to some of our warmer days but when the mornings hit below ten degrees, you know beach days are few and far between. This past week has been busy but so much better than the month before due to a few things. Without further ado, here are all the things I’m grateful for from 4th April to 10th April 2021:

Spending some hours on Sunday morning at the beach reading and swimming

Going for a walk around the harbour on Sunday afternoon and then chilling with a beer at home

Going for a walk with a friend on Monday and catching up after not seeing each other for almost five years

Monday afternoon at the beach and savouring the last bit of a relaxing long weekend

Planning days at work helping me feel a bit more settled and knowing the direction we are headed in. This was much needed after an unstable month

Week 15

Dinner with my team on Tuesday night

Booking holiday accommodation – two more weeks before I get away. I’m not going too far – just down the NSW South Coast for a few days by myself and then to Canberra with a friend, and finally, a friend’s birthday weekend out Western NSW

Going for an after-work swim on Friday after a full-on but productive work week

Attending a live gig on Friday night and absolutely loving it! So grateful we were able to stand again {our restrictions for that only eased in the past week} and there was so much joy that it brought me to tears. I wrote more about that experience.

Taking myself on a little adventure after Saturday morning work and heading down to Stanwell Park where I had lunch at the beach and enjoyed the sunshine for an hour.

It has been a good week. I realised just how much I’ve missed live gigs and I’m so, so, so grateful it’s back. It energises me and fills me with so much joy. I also am grateful to live close enough to the beach and just in general for where we live. We are so fortunate here on the east coast of Australia to have access to water {especially as that’s my way to relax and rejuvenate}. It’s the little things, isn’t it?

How has your week been?

Do share!

I love that you fit so much into your week and get out and about so much. The walks, time at the beach etc and socialising are all wonderful. I’m unsure if I feel envious or exhausted sometimes on reading all you do!!!

And I’m glad you’ve been able to get back to some live gigs!

Everyone keeps talking about a chill and it’s as warm as ever here. I miss cold. We had a 33 degree day on the weekend and I was like “Come ON! Give me a break!” Air con in mid-April…. sigh. This morning was every so slightly cool though at least.

You are so lucky to be able to spend time at the beach, Sanch. What a beautiful week. “Normal” life seems to be returning to your neck of the woods. so happy you could go see a live music gig.

All that self-motivation comes hard at times when we are down but look at how you put as much as you could into place to have a better week. Lots of outdoors and lots of fun that you had missed. They are critical for you so ….keep on keeping on!!
