Weekly Gratitude 2021 12/52

Happy Sunday, y’all! It’s been a rainy, rainy, rainy weekend here in Sydney. I didn’t step out of the house at all on Saturday due to the crazy rain but I think I will brave it today for some double-shot coffee. If I thought last week was challenging, this week took it up another notch. I am so emotionally drained and unsettled, I’m just counting down to the Easter long weekend for some downtime before my proper break. Anyway, this isn’t the time to moan but to also acknowledge the things I’m grateful for this week from 14th March to 20th March 2021:

Writing in a cafe on Sunday afternoon

Spending Monday evening reading and journalling at the beach

Supportive work colleagues on a very difficult and emotional day for us

Great friends checking in on me after the aforementioned emotional day

Mid-week catch up with a new friend in the city

A stranger on the train telling me I looked really lovely on Wednesday – I almost burst into tears at their kindness!

Friends available for supportive phone chats on a difficult work day on Thursday

Lovely catch-up on Friday night with a bookstagram friend – much needed after the week I’d had

Submitting a short story for a competition

Quiet Saturday indoors with lots of cat cuddles and out of the inclement weather

I am really hoping the next week is better but in some ways, I’ve written off March as being a shitty, shitty month. But, tell me, how was your week?

Do share!

I hate to hear about all the rain, the weather here has been rather slow in making up its mind. One day we’ll have terrible storms, the next it will be windy and cold, and then the sunshine and warmth will come back only to repeat once more. It makes planning any outdoor ventures a little difficult. I am jealous of your beach writing and pictures though — plus those cupcakes look good. I hope those were good highlights to what sounds like an otherwise difficult week. I hope the end of March surprises you with not bein so shitty. Thanks for sharing.

Aww sorry to hear you’ve had such a crap week but don’t write March off because we haven’t had our catch up yet! This week is meant to be sunny – hope that’s literally and metaphorically! Sending you a big hug xx

I this week is a better one for you. The words of a stranger can have a huge impact. You made me think of how often I think something complimentary but don’t say it. Your pussy cat is gorgeous

Double shot of coffee can be the highlight of my day sometimes.

Yes, I hear you on how challenging that must have been for you, marooned in a tower…at least the lift was working.

B and I are getting over a virus and that’s been challenging because of extra pain referred inside my mouth AND the fact that nothing makes a virus go away other than time….

Nevertheless, the sun is out today, I went out to take photos and now I am grateful for the bloggers who link up.

A break before the real one sounds good. I am taking more time to do some art and that is helping me too.

Thank you for linking up your blog post to Life This Week #232. Lots of interesting comments from bloggers this time about “good”. Next week, the optional prompt is Heroic….that too might generate more conversation…and THAT is what I love about hosting a link up on my blog. See you there. Denyse.
