Happy Sunday everyone! It might be a new year but the weekly gratitude post continues. It’s been a big week and one where the days have blurred into one. And I can’t believe it’s already Sunday and that I go back to work tomorrow. I feel like I’ve only been in holiday mode for the last couple of days given the moving spree prior to that. Anyway, here are all the things I’m grateful for from 27th December to 2nd January 2020:
Managing an hour or two at the beach on Sunday evening – it was the last warm and blue-sky day for a while!
Moving successfully with the help of friends and finally, the movers into the new place
Being able to afford to have cleaners clean up the old place – such a relief after days of lifting and moving and unpacking boxes to then, not have to also clean up an entire apartment
The cats finally settling in even though they struggled with the 5-minute car ride and getting used to a new place the first couple of nights

Lovely messages from friends on NYE and new year’s day
A relatively quiet NYE but one which helped me reflect that despite the crap that was 2020, there was also enough to be grateful for
Catching up with a friend for coffee on NYE
Setting up my bookshelves in an organised manner and planning on prioritising my unread shelves this year
Setting intentions for 2021
Having a couple of my friends over for dinner on Saturday night
Monitoring the Covid situation and glad that gyms will remain open
I am back to work tomorrow and while I don’t feel like I’ve had enough of a break, it’s still been good. I’ve noticed I’m not as anxious as I was initially because I’ve moved and also, I feel like this time around, the premier is factoring in mental health a lot more so I feel whatever restrictions will be put in place, they will be done with empathy.
