Weekly Gratitude 2020 49/52

2020 gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! I was hoping to sleep-in this Sunday but my body clock is such that I was awake at 5:45 and no matter how much I tried to fall back asleep, I couldn’t. So here I am, writing this early in the morning with my cuppa. It’s been another busy week but as always, I have things to be grateful for. Here’s looking back from 29th November to 5th December 2020:

Sunday morning at the beach with books

A day trip to the Central Coast and catching up with my friends KH and NG separately at their place.

Tuesday evening walks at the beach with a friend to wind down

Mid-week drink and dinner with good company

Thursday night catch-up over drinks and dinner with Sammie – it’d been way too long between catch-ups!

Having thinking time on Friday afternoon at work – something I feel like I haven’t had since starting the new role

Enjoying the Spotify wrap-up and realising I’ve been comfort listening to my favourites all year

Saturday meet-up with a few other Insta-bookish friends in real life

Our CEO sending us all a lovely email thanking us for our work this year and offering Christmas eve as an added paid leave day

Cat cuddles all week

Receiving a lovely book from Denyse this week

Reaching some personal bests at the gym this week – 213 kg leg press and 77 kgs deadlifts

I’m tired. I’m counting down to the Christmas break. I have no plans really but just want to relax by the beach and maybe get some day trips. I also like to reflect during that time and start thinking about the year ahead.

How has your week been?

Do share!

Oh such a lovely and social week Sanch. I had two outings and that was a big one for me. Well done at the gym. And I love the positivity by the way. xx

Spending time by the beach with a book sounds heavenly! (We currently have ice on the lake and snow on the ground). I’m just thankful I don’t have anywhere to be today and can stay warm and toasty in the house.

Yay you at the gym! My Spotify list was a bit embarrassing, I don’t know how Taylor Swift got to be my number 1! Eeep! It was great seeing you, we mustn’t leave it so long next time. Hope you have an excellent week!

The ‘comfort’ listening resonates with me too Sanch! Great to hear how your week has been so social.

Sounds like you are making it …just making it on some days…like so many to the finish line called Christmas and New Year Hols in 2020. What a year. I have comfort baked, comfort watched and comfort listened. Much needed. Glad Lori’s book is on your bookshelf.

Thank you for linking up for Life This Week. Next week is the last Share Your Snaps for 2020 and then only one week to go after that before a short break with Life This Week returning on Mon 4 January 2021. Hope to see you next week too. Denyse.
