Weekly Gratitude 2020 52/52

2020 gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone and welcome to the final weekly gratitude for 2020. We still have a few more days left to the end of the year but this past week has been the fifty-second week of a tumultuous year. This week has also been quite anxiety-fuelled watching the numbers each day and hoping it doesn’t climb although, clusters seem to be forming outside of the beaches too. I will confess my anxiety has to do with hoping we don’t need a lockdown like in Melbourne and also hoping my upcoming move can go ahead smoothly. Anyway, here’s all the things I’m grateful for from 20th December to 26th December 2020:

Wrapping up the last three days of work for 2020

Picking up the keys to my new place

Starting to move things into my new place

Still being able to go to the gym and noticing that it’s not too crowded at all. Most days, it’s been me and a couple of other people

Chats with friends via text or phone during this strange time

Lovely Christmas day with Sammie, David and Teddy

Good psych session to end the year – focussing on things I can control and taking it one day at a time

Lots of cuddles from the cats

It’s been a weird week sitting with the anxiety while doing what I can that’s within my control. I’m grateful that for the most part, people seem to be doing the right thing in Sydney. And hopefully, we will get out of this without a major lockdown.

How has your final week of 2020 been?

Do share!

Until next time,

Your Christmas Day sounds lovely – great company & (I’m sure) great food. Here’s to a 2021 with even a tiny little bit more certainty & structure. Thanks for your connection during this tumultuous year.
