Weekly Gratitude 2020 48/52

2020 gratitude

Hello everyone! This weekend’s gratitude post is coming to you a bit late in the day given I’ve been out all Sunday. But as always, better late than never. This past week has been full-on in so many ways but there has also been a lot to be grateful for. Without further ado, here’s everything I’m grateful for from 22nd November to 28th November 2020:

Good friends who are there for me in times of need

Certain people not completely freaking out about my anxiety

Consistent, kind, communicative people in my life

Supportive work colleagues

Buttons recovering by Tuesday – and all the lovely messages on Instagram asking about him

Catching up with a girlfriend for a yummy Nepalese dinner on Thursday night

Working on Saturday but being in an airconditioned room as a result

Young people trusting me with their stories

Saturday evening watching the Women’s Big Bash finals with friends – the game was anticlimactic but it was still good fun

Drinks at the pub after the game

It’s been an interesting week which started off with heightened levels of anxiety but which have reduced and been at manageable levels for the most part since mid-week. For that, I am truly grateful.

How was your week?

Do share!

I’m glad you’ve got friends for you when you need them. I’ve been missing my old closest friends lately. Had I not had a meltdown and cancelled my surgeon’s appointment last week I would have seen them in Brisbane then, but it wasn’t to be… and I love the point about people not freaking out about your anxiety. I felt a little judged by family recently and it made me reconsider what I share. My problem is that I like to get things out of my system but perhaps I vent a little too much. x

Oh I do miss getting to see my friends! I have a few locally enough that we could get together but we have been having such a hard time getting our schedules to match up with some free time. Lots of reasons to feel some gratitude this week.

So glad Buttons is feeling better. Sounds like a mixed bag of a week but ended decently.

I hear you on needing some good friends at times. I admit I miss ‘girl’ catch ups with chatting over a coffee etc. I love my husband dearly and we talk all the time but sometimes a social chit chat is something I need too. I miss that from my working life.

I posted Lori’s book on Tuesday 1 Dec. Fingers crossed you get it soon.

Thank you so much for linking up this week for #lifethisweek. We are nearly at the end of 2020 and only a few optional prompts left! Next week is 49/51 Lucky 7.12.2020. Hope to see you there. Denyse.
