Weekly Gratitude 2020 43/52

2020 gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! It’s been a a while on this space. Turns out my website got hacked some weeks ago {around the long weekend} and kept redirecting to a spammy site. My hosting company were not very helpful and all they did was send me an article re how to fix it. Dudes, if I knew that, I wouldn’t have asked you for help in the first place! Anyway, thankfully, when I reached out to a friend to see if they knew anyone who could help, they offered to help themselves and worked on some of the backend stuff. There are still some old posts with dodgy scripts that I’m working through and it sending it to my friend to delete from the database. But for now, I can blog! I will have to backdate the last two gratitude posts. Anyway, here’s what I am grateful for from 18th October 2020 to 24th October 2020:

Chatting with my sister on Sunday morning

Catching up with a friend for coffee on Sunday and then browsing through Constant Reader at Mosman {and not leaving empty-handed!}

Speaking to my parents on Sunday evening and having a really good chat

Making plans for gigs again!

Hearing some really good news on the job front on Monday after a shitty week prior to that. I now have a new role in my organisation that’s more of a national role. I interviewed for it the week before, thought I’d bombed it, but turns out I got it. I signed the contract on Monday evening and I start tomorrow

Catching up with Sammie for a coffee and debrief after my shitty week the week before and the sudden roller-coaster news!

My local cafe noticing I hadn’t turned up on the weekend for coffee and asking me if I had been away and if I was okay. So much love!

My team feeling so excited at the news of my new role – they were afraid I would leave the organisation

My manager being excited and slightly emotional and me getting the new role

The bookstagram community! I’m loving the chats we all have in our DMs on Instagram – such a supportive and lovely community

Book club on Thursday night – such a lovely bunch of ladies and something I look forward to every month!

Managing to get to the beach during the week before a rainy weekend

Reading the most beautiful book – Honeybee by Craig Silvey – in a couple of days, reviewing it and having a wonderful response from the author. Seriously, if you haven’t read it yet, you should!! It’s definitely my favourite read for 2020!

Lovely catch up with a friend on a rainy Saturday

It’s been a good week after a rollercoaster month! Of course, overall, I’m super-grateful to my friend who has helped me fix this space without losing anything as well as to Sammie who offered David’s services! Technically, they will go in the past gratitude posts when this occurred but I want to mention it here too!

How have you all been? How was your week?

Do share!

I’m grateful that I finally got to see my brother for the first time since Covid closed the borders. We had a wonderful weekend and really appreciated being able to spend time together. I’ll never take hugs from family for granted again.

Glad you got it sorted and well done on the promotion!! I’ve read Honeybee. Silvey is doing a lot of media and being very informative in his language and discussion. An interesting read!

Hello Sanch! I’m coming to your blog through a comment you left on Jo’s “And Anyways…” I’m sorry to hear you got hacked. So stressful. I’m happy for you getting back online. If you are interested in a full tech audit, check out MaAnna at blogaid.com. I don’t get a commission, I’m just pleased with her work. ? It sounds like otherwise you had a lovely week, catching up with friends and a new role. Congratulations! I hope this coming week is just as wonderful.
