Weekly Gratitude 2020 40/52

2020 gratitude

This post is coming to you a few days late because I’ve been having issues with my website. Oh, the joys! I’ll still backdate it. It’s been a shitty week with a whole lot of emotional stuff. Long story short, my position has been made redundant. I have been offered redeployment within the organisation which I’ve taken up for now but it’s not what I want so basically, it’s back to the drawing board. Oh well, it’s not the time to moan and groan though. Rather, it’s time to look back at all that I have to be grateful for from 27th September to 3rd October 2020:

Sunday walks with a friend and enjoying the flowers at the Royal Botanic Gardens

Managing to get through work through a difficult week

A supportive manager

My team being super lovely {and shocked} on being told about the changes to the role

Still having a job and having an income coming in

Reading some wonderful books

Consistent gym workouts and reaching some more personal bests

Catching up with my friend JR for dinner on Thursday night in the city

Much needed Friday dinner with Sammie and David and puppy cuddles with Teddy after a heavy week/day at work

Visiting a bookstore at Avalon on Saturday for Love Your Bookshop Day

Beachside reading on Saturday

Celebrating a friend’s birthday on Saturday night and enjoying everyone’s company

It’s been hard to look at silver linings but I know it’s there. I just have to take it one day at a time. Again.

How was your week?

Do share!
