Weekly Gratitude 2020 35/52

2020 gratitude

Happy Sunday from the beautiful South Coast of NSW my lovely readers! Yes, I managed a bit of a getaway even during these crazy times. I have a week off work and hadn’t decided until a few days ago to actually get out of Sydney for a bit. Just for a change of scenery. It’s still going to be a staycation for the most part but I’m so glad to be doing something slightly different than usual. Anyway, it’s that time of the week to look back with gratitude at the week from 23rd August to 29th August 2020:

Sunday brunch and coffee while reading at my favourite cafe

Hitting my new personal best with deadlifts – 65 kgs

Cat cuddles when I was sick on Monday afternoon after eating something that upset my stomach

An emotional and heavy session with two separate clients helping me realise how much of a privilege it is that they trust me with their stories and their fears

My team member who sent me the embroidery last week explaining some of her thoughts individually for all of us and what she thinks of us and well, bringing me to tears

Hearing some positive feedback from the other team I am supervising

My incredible, loving, amazing team who give their all to the young people they support

week 35

Lunchtime reading in the park

Finding out I have advanced to the final round of YeahWrite’s super challenge

Having friends over for dinner on Thursday night

On holidays from 6 p.m. on Friday for a week

Finishing my 52nd book for the year on Saturday morning

Driving down to the South Coast on Saturday arvo and having the loveliest little AirBnB with beach views

Saturday evening at a local brewery with my friend who is spending the weekend with me. Love trying out new beers and Stoic Brewing’s stout was fantastic!

It was a busy and heavy week in many ways but the thought of the week off kept me going. I am hoping I can recharge my batteries after the shitstorm this year has been so far. But I also know it’s going to be a while before I feel like my normal self again. In the meantime though, I can continue to enjoy this.

How was your week?

Do share!

Air BnB with beach views sounds absolutely delightful! When the restrictions lift here in Vic I might look at doing something similar for myself. Enjoy!

So good to see that you got away and enjoyed all those sensory experiences on the South Coast to counter what the reality of work and living with and around COVID brings.

Thank you for linking up this week for #lifethisweek. Next week’s optional prompt is 36/51 Taking Stock #4 7.9.2020 and I hope to see you there too. Take care, stay safe and well. Denyse.
