Weekly Gratitude 2020 33/52

2020 gratitude

Hi lovely readers! This is a late gratitude post but I’ve had a lovely Sunday outdoors and then feeling completely exhausted and ‘napping’ for a couple of hours. Looks like my exhaustion is still continuing but I’m trying to get through it. It’s been one of those weeks that’s been pretty full-on at work, and emotionally draining outside of it. Without further ado, here’s all that I am grateful for from 9th August to 15th August 2020:

Taking myself to brunch at my favourite cafe on Sunday and enjoying the time reading and writing

Working out every day this week and getting physically stronger

The girls at the cafe knowing my name and my order and being able to enjoy a chat with them every morning

Social contact at the gym – whether it is talking to the trainers or exchanging smiles and eye contact with regulars

Lunch break chat with a couple of my team on Tuesday

Meeting some of the new teams from other states that I’ll be supervising from this week

Cat cuddles all week

Hearing some lovely stuff about me from my team. They are an amazing bunch to work with and during these times, it’s one big thing I’m grateful for!

Reading in the sunshine

My Harry Potter mask being an opening point for conversations with strangers. If you have to wear a mask, make it one which will make people smile!

Friday coffee with one of my team in-person at Manly

Friday drinks over Zoom with some of my team after we all had an exhausting and big week

Saturday coffee at the cafe with a book

Reading by the harbour on Saturday

That’s been my week. It’s been kinda like groundhog day for the most part but I’m trying to make the best of the little things.

How has your week been?

Do share!

I adore going to cafes where they know your name, say hi and check it. It’s such a community. Love your photos too. Thanks for sharing.

Look at you smashing goals at the gym and hitting the target with the good brunch spots too! Hope you get some Sanch time this week to have a big exhale – looking forward to seeing you soon!

Your week sounds lovely Sanch. I’m m slightly envious that you’re able to go to a cafe. Pre pandemic I loved going for coffee with a book. Our treat now is takeaway. How times hVe changed.

Good reminder to get to the library – I’ve got books on hold. They were for my just-passed 5 day long weekend but I kinda just didn’t go in time to borrow them 🙂

Meeting up with people, so good to read. Love that you are getting great reports about your work!! Well-done.
Isn’t it good when people who make your coffee know your name? I had stopped going out for coffee a while back (COVID) and then surgery so this week, went back to Toukley to BluJ’s and was so welcomed back…Denyse, how are you…and yes, you have a free coffee on your card.

Thanks for linking up this week for #LifeThisWeek. Next week the optional prompt is 34/51 Self-Care Stories. #5. 24.8.2020 and I hope to see you there. Take care, Denyse.
