Ephemeral

The leaves on the ground
withered, worn;
The tree beside
barren, alone
Look closer;
What do you see?
Hues –
red,
orange,
yellow
brightening the brown
Look ahead;
What do you see?
Seasons changing
autumn,
winter,
spring
Someday soon
the ground will clear,
birds will sing,
green leaves will appear;
Until then
just hold on;
Take a breath
await a new dawn

    That is so beautifully put! We definitely need a new dawn in the present situation. Hope things get better. I hope you are doing well.
