Being Human

Look out for the ones
who always have a smile
who are always helping others
and going that extra mile

Look out for the ones
who’ve been labelled as strong
who are known to be resilient
and brave all along

Look out for the ones
always checking in on friends
who hold their families together
and on whom you depend

Look out for the ones
full of compassion for others,
they seldom love themselves
to know they deserve better

Look out for the ones
who quietly grin and bear it all
they seem fine on the surface
but may not be far from a fall

Life isn’t always easy
yet we’re all quick to judge
but not everybody’s battles
are on display for all of us

Be mindful of your words,
Be kind to those around;
We’re full of contradictions,
We’re all inherently flawed

Beautiful poem Sanch! And very true. Not everyone likes to share the problems and sadness they are going through. It is always easier to share happiness than sorrow.
