2020 gratitude

Hello everyone, this gratitude post is coming to you a tad late because I’ve just not been feeling up to it. I’ll of course, backdate it anyway. I spent a grey Sunday on the couch in my pyjamas reading and sleeping for the most part. I didn’t feel up to doing much. In any case, it’s time though in this half-year post, to look back with gratitude from 21st June to 27th June 2020:

Buying some beautiful roses from a florist down the road on Sunday

Reading in the park for a little while

Busy but productive work week

Going in to the office on Wednesday and enjoying the commute on public transport

Getting my eighth tattoo on Wednesday night

Catching up with my friend JR in the city on Thursday night for drinks and dinner. It’s wonderful to visit small bars again!

Working out at the gym every weekday and feeling great about it

My parents celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary in lockdown. It’s also a reminder to me that I’m getting old!

Private practice on Saturday and it going quite well

Catching up with my friends on Saturday night for drinks and dinner

There have been some significantly emotional days this week and I’m struggling a bit with certain things but I’m trying to push on and do the things I do. One day at a time. One day at a time.

How was your week?

Do share!

What is “enjoying public transport”? 🙂 It’s my biggest source of anxiety right now!!!!

Also did very little Sunday. Had a very bad headache Saturday night so I took it very gently on Sunday as I didn’t want it to come back.

It wasn’t bad here at all ! Still pretty empty and this was peak hour. I think people are still WFH here or driving in. I hope you’re feeling better x

Can’t wait to see the tattoo IRL and I loved the pics of your parents – congrats to them! Hope things ease up for you next week, I think one day at a time is a most excellent strategy! Hope to see you soon!

I think many of us are having emotional days Sanch, so much seems to be happening. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary earlier this year, it certainly made me feel old! Happy anniversary to your parents, it’s a big achievement! Glad you’re back at the gym and enjoying it. Take care #lifethisweek

Sanch, Sometimes when things seem overwhelming, take one day at a time, or take the smallest unit at a time is the best strategy. I hoe you feel better and have a good week this week. #lifethisweek

Finding gratitude each day has been a challenge for me recently. I am glad you can still muster up some…I recently did a new blog post (out of routine!) about whether I would continue after the 6 months. I will link it up next week.

Thank you so much for linking up. We are more half way through the year now. Next week it’s time for: 27/51 Taking Stock #3 6.7.2020 so I look forward to seeing you then, on or off prompt. Denyse.
