Weekly Gratitude 2020 25/52

2020 gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! It’s winter solstice today and I’m a bit tired but have managed some life admin and to catch some sunshine. It’s been a slightly slow day but I think I’ve needed it. It’s time though to look back with gratitude at the week from 14th June to 20th June 2020:

Back at the gym for the first time in three months on Sunday – it was the best!

BBQ and a lovely walk at a friend’s place on Sunday afternoon. Also included dog cuddles

Working out every day during the week at the gym – I’ve loved it! I eased my way into it and am not lifting too heavy just yet

Learning a lot about myself this week thanks to some introspection and reflection

Receiving a lovely and thoughtful postcard from a friend

Getting my nose pierced

Managing to have a proper lunch break and read in the sunshine near the water on Thursday

Dinner and drinks with Sammie on Thursday night – great company, awesome venue and so good to have drinks in a small bar again!

Going to Modern Organic after ages on Saturday and having lunch there with my coastie friends

Catching up with friends for drinks and laughs on Saturday evening

It’s been a slightly emotionally exhausting week peppered with a lot of good stuff. I’ve read a fair bit and been busy with work too. I’m hoping the week ahead is a decent one. I’m so glad gyms are back – it’s helping me clear my head.

How has your week been?

Do share!

So much to be grateful for – pleased you have made good use of the gym, I went for the first time on Friday – yay! It was so good to catch up, it was definitely one of my weekly highlights!

I love all of those things Sanch. And I’ve thought of getting my nose pierced. For me I worry though it’d be like a mid-life crisis given I’ve not got other piercings (other than my ears, once). Also my nose bleeds a bit, so….

Well done re gym particularly as you enjoy it so much and yay for the catch up with Sam!

I think I overdid the introspection in recent weeks so I’m trying to be LESS everything this week. Enjoy the gym!

I was more than a tad jelly about dinner with Sammie, but great to see you back in your happy place & any week that involves doggy cuddles is a good one.

I think many of us have emotions to the fore these days…the uncertainty, the on-going news about COVID blah blah…and with your high standards of yourself and performance…and not being in daily physical contact with work, it’s hard to manage at times….I understand,

Thank you for linking up for #lifethisweek and I look forward to seeing you again next Monday when the optional prompt is 26/51 Best Time Of Day. 29.6.2020 Take care, Denyse.
