2020 gratitude

Hello everyone! This is a very late gratitude post because I had a long and fun day yesterday celebrating my friend’s birthday but because I was exhausted, I crashed just after 8 pm. I will be backdating this post. If you’re in NSW or WA, I hope you are enjoying your long weekend. Without further ado, here is all that I am grateful for from 31st May to 6th June 2020:

Catching up with Ashleigh on Sunday after ages and going for a lovely walk around Narrabeen

Having my first sit-down restaurant meal on Sunday night with friends

Watching some beautiful sunrises

Being able to support my team during some challenging times

Finally having a date for gyms to reopen in NSW! Really grateful to have so many friends message me about it {that, and I probably have whinged enough for everyone to want me to shut the fuck up!}

Lots of cat cuddles during my work day and at night

Enjoying having new plants around the house

Knowing my parents were safe in the cyclone

Being in a position to support some indigenous causes

Supportive chats with a friend when I was anxious about some work-related stuff

Getting lost in a book

Going out to a pub for the first time since lockdown ended and having a couple of beers – I swear beer on tap tastes different to beer from bottles or cans!

Starting some new private practice work in Sydney on Saturday – first time since my return

Spending Saturday afternoon around Cronulla – spoke to a stranger about books, enjoyed a walk along the Esplanade, and took myself to a mimosa and a late lunch at Next Door cafe with a book and gorgeous beach views

It’s been a busy work week and I am quite exhausted! It didn’t help waking up at 4 am this Sunday and not being able to fall back asleep because my mind wouldn’t shut up. Hopefully this week is not as draining but I’m not counting on it given I have a lot to do for work!

    I was trying to remember if you’d said work had been cutting back a bit but it sounds busy – also with the private practice work you’re doing.

    So glad your parents are okay by the way.

    Yay for gyms opening – well for you, not for me cos it reminds me I avoid exercise when I shouldn’t. I think they officially open (indoors) here today. Some have been doing outdoor sessions for a little while.

    And I saw you’d headed to the pub. I’m going to dinner with some friends this week (mid-week) which will be nice.

      Hours have been cut but the workload is still the same – so I’m trying to do 5 days worth of work in 4 plus added private for some additional income.

      That sounds great re going out for a meal and drink! I missed it so much!! Two months of not having that was hard!

    Good for you going to a restaurant! We still haven’t done it but are booked in at the end of the month. Strange days indeed! #Lifethisweek

    Great to hear you’re able to go out and socialize Sanch. We’re still under extended emergency orders where I live. Bars, gyms, restaurants, etc are still closed and no gathering of more than 5 people unless from the same household. Enjoy your outings and stay safe. #lifethisweek

    So glad your parents are safe.
    How good is it seeing pubs and eateries opening in close to normal conditions! I feel such relief for the hardworking business owners that they are getting back on track now.

    I’m a bit sad that Teddy and I didn’t make the cut this week (LOL!) Seeing you weekly was a perk of iso! Let’s rectify the situation immediately with a sit down beverage – I didn’t realise how much I’d missed going to a pub or a bar and it was so lovely to see the joy and relief on the staff’s faces! Hope you’re not too under the pump at work this week and that you get some well needed Sanch Time!

    Good news all round this week…but of course life’s ups and downs do affect us. Hearing the gyms were open and everyone letting you know was funny. That was why I thought, nah, she knows!! Good on you with the private practice opening for you again.
