Weekly Gratitude 2020 20/52

2020 gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! I’m writing this a little later than usual as I’ve been for a beautiful walk this morning with a friend. I’m loving all the gorgeous walks so close to home. Without further ado, here is all that I’m grateful for from 10th May to 16th May 2020:

Beautiful walk on Sunday afternoon with a friend

Reading a lovely book on Sunday morning with some important and timely life lessons

Having two ladies comment on my dress one afternoon as I went to buy coffee and we got chatting – it was so lovely to talk to strangers again!

Wearing bright work outfits every day

Going over to my friend’s place on Wednesday night for dinner and playing virtual pub trivia with them

Lots of cat cuddles and laughs

Having a good supervision session for myself

Long chats with a friend and rejoicing in some good news for them

Getting my eye check-up done and having a fun and helpful optometrist

Having a proper sit-down coffee on Friday at a cafe – oh my goodness, it was the most delicious thing ever!

Sharing that coffee and another with Sam along with a slightly rainy walk with her and Teddy

Having my friends CN and SM come over with their dog on Saturday and spending the day with them

Writing a poem and an essay on the blog this week

An afternoon nap on the couch on my day off

Long and interesting phone conversations

It’s been an okay week even though during the work part of it, my brain felt like it was being pulled in several directions. Here’s hoping the week ahead is a good one.

How has your week been?

Do share!

Oooh, I need to get my glasses fixed. I hadn’t realised they were open. Sounds like you’ve been getting back into the swing of things – love the sound of walks on the beach!!! #Lifethisweek

Oohhhh!!! I like the sound of that afternoon nap on your day off!

I’m on days off now… that nap is looking very doable!

How lovely that you caught up with Sam!

I’ve got a couple of friends who walk and have offered for me to join them but they go really early and I’d have to travel into town to meet them and just haven’t done it. I’m not one for hiking but guess I’d think about doing something like that if a friend suggested it.

I love that you’re appreciating the small things. It’s so important. xx

Hope you had a lovely relaxing weekend! It was so lovely to see you and share that first coffee – I’ll never take sitting in a cafe for granted! Hope you have a wonderful week x

What is better than an afternoon nap on the couch? I am a big fan. And coffee at a cafe sounds wonderful too. Restaurants here are not allowed to be open for anything other than take out. When they do open again, I am never going to take that coffee at a cafe for granted again!

I have really enjoyed seeing your photos of the walks as you know and I also love your bright dressing for work…at home. I so believe in ‘acting as if’. I used to wear my Uni jumper when I was doing my Uni by distance…meant that was what I was doing it for and moving towards the degrees!

Thank you for linking up for Life This Week. Next week the optional prompt is 21/51 Self-Care Stories. #3. 25.5.2020 But I will take the chance to add another chapter in Telling My Story. Hope to see you there too. Denyse.

I love your list. Last year I had a journal that I wrote in each day, something I was grateful for. It was a great daily reminder to be grateful.
