Weekly Gratitude 2020 18/52

2020 gratitude

Happy Sunday arvo everyone! I am writing this from the balcony on a slightly colder Sydney weekend. Seriously, who changed the weather so quickly?! Anyway, it’s that time of the week to look back at all that I am grateful for from 26th April to 2nd May 2020:

A lovely long walk on Sunday with friends in areas close to home – so grateful to have the bush and the coast close by

Receiving a beautiful care package from my friend VP just because – I was so touched to see the stationery she sent and the thought put into it

Being able to support my team with tough and complex cases – it’s been a busy week for everyone and I’m glad I’ve been there to supervise and support

Hearing good things about my work from my manager despite knowing our hours and pay will be cut

Working for an organisation that communicates well and is transparent -so different from toxic services I’ve worked in before and my friends continue to work in and tell me it hasn’t changed

Lots and lots and lots of cat cuddles especially as the weather gets colder

Lovely walks and views of the harbour

Being able to see Donna Ward talk to Bri Lee as part of the BList book club that has now gone online

Watching Normal People on Stan – it was so good! It stayed true to the book and I cried a lot, had hope and felt frustrated. It was my favourite book of 2019 and I was worried the show would not live up to it but I’m so glad it did!

Long Saturday walk into the city with my friend JR who I’m seeing for the first time in 6 weeks. It was so good to catch up and spend time together

Chats with friends and family during the week

Making mulled wine on Saturday night. Because I could

It’s been a difficult week at work with lots to focus on but also lacking some motivation and feeling drained. I’ve also not worked out properly this week. But, like I say to my clients and my friends and my self, there will be okay days and not-so-okay days and that’s okay. It’s nice to see even amidst all this, I can still find things to be grateful for.

How was your week?

Do share!

I loved reading about the things you are grateful for in the midst of the pandemic. I would love to get a care package that includes stationery too!

I know it’s happened to many, but sorry to hear about your cut in pay and hours. Stay well 🙂
