Nice Guy

he’s a hard-working bloke
trying to make ends meet
he smiles at everyone
he passes on the street
he’s always got a joke
for his mates at work
so, it really doesn’t matter
if to his wife, he’s a jerk
he’s a nice guy to most
a top bloke, you see
so, he needs to be excused
for his misogyny

he’s polite to his boss
will shout a stranger a drink
but will also tell his girlfriend
she needs to see a shrink
he’s the life of the party
fun to be around
but behind closed doors
he kicks his girlfriend to the ground
he’s a nice guy to most
a top bloke, you see
so, he needs to be excused
for his misogyny

he’s a wholesome family man
goes to church on Sundays
loved by his community
that he helps in several ways
in his own house though
it’s his wife who cooks and cleans
his daughter stays home
while his son’s allowed to be mean
he’s a nice guy to most
a top bloke, you see
so, he needs to be excused
for his misogyny
