Weekly Gratitude 2020 10/52

2020 gratitude

Happy Sunday, everyone! There’s a chill in the air and it’s grey outside. I’m one with the couch and it feels like it’s been a while since I actually just sat and chilled. It’s been a busy week but a really good one in many ways. Yes, there’s been some shitty moments but it wouldn’t be my life without that! Anyway, here is everything I am grateful for from 1st March to 7th March 2020:

Spending a couple of hours on Sunday morning at the beach with a book

Finishing an interesting and fun book – Such a fun age by Kiley Reid

Interesting catch up on Sunday evening

Changes at work – some will involve new and interesting challenges for me

Checking out a bar that’s new to me – Bitter Phew – and trying out new craft beers

Catch up with my friend AL on Tuesday night

Attending a book launch on Wednesday night at Better Read than Dead, getting my book signed by Richard Glover

Catch up with friends I’ve made via Instagram and then met in real life before and after the book launch

Watching an incredible cricket semi-final between Australia and South Africa on Thursday night. With the rain earlier in the day, we didn’t think the game go ahead but it was a fantastic shortened game of cricket with a brilliant result!

Dinner, drinks and laughs with my friends on Friday night

A deliberately slow Saturday with life admin during the day after an exhausting week

The brilliant gig on Saturday night with Mono, Meniscus and Jo Quail

Catch up with a friend at a boutique beer bar before we headed to the gig

Gym a few times this week as I slowly try to get back into exercising again

It’s been a great social week and also once filled with creativity. I’ve had moments of sadness and anxiety but I’ve had good friends who have supported me through it. For that, I am well and truly grateful. It is a reminder though that despite what can seem like a fun and outgoing life, there are battles underlying it all and it’s not always easy. But it also means I don’t take all of this for granted!

How was your week?

Do share!

I hear you regarding the up and downness of life – and the moments of anxiety. On another subject…does this mean Richard Glover has a new book out?

Ah the good old mix of everything and anxiety comes along for the ride. I admit my past few weeks of new adventures and getting out there…and some surgery thrown in…have elevated some of my anxiety about IBS..However I also know it comes and goes. Doing my best, before tomorrow’s second trip back to Sydney for second eye surgery to distract. This is why comments are now because Wed night not sure how my eyes will be.

Thank you for linking up for Life This Week. Next week’s optional prompt is: 11/51 My Neighbourhood 16.3.2020. Hope to see you there too. Denyse.
