Weekly Gratitude 2020 6/52

2020 gratitude

Happy Sunday from a very, very, very rainy Sydney! I know we need the rain and therefore I’m trying not to complain but to be fair, torrential rain and wind gusts are not what I had in mind! Anyway, it’s that time of the week when I look back with gratitude at the week from 2nd February to 8th February 2020:

Joining a new writing group in the area

Writing in a cafe on Sunday afternoon – finally getting that mojo back

Gymming every weekday

Attending an author event mid-week – I got to listen to J P Pomare being interviewed by Michael Robotham

Productive but bloody busy week at work

Catching up with my friend on Friday night in Newtown for drinks

Really supportive friends and family

Catching up with coastie friends for lunch on Saturday

Watching the Big Bash finals with my friends on Saturday night

Taking it one day at a time and trying to focus on the little things that make me happy

It’s been a bit of an emotional week and a mentally draining one too. But on the whole, it’s been ok. I could do with another day off before going back to work tomorrow but that’s life and it’s ok.

How was your week?

Do share!

Sounds like you had a social week, Sanch. How was the author event? I read and enjoyed Call Me Evie by JP Pomare. Hope the weather gets better for you. #lifethisweek

It sounds like a great week Sanch and a social one! Well done on the gym stuff again. Am jealous re the JP Pomare and & Michael Robotham event. I’ve not heard Pomare but heard Robotham and met him at things a couple of times and he’s very entertaining!

I’m still looking for my mojo. I have editing to be going on with but a first draft due to my editor at the end of March that I’m really struggling with!

I hope you aren’t in an area of Sydney experiencing all that flooding! Luckily it’s been pretty minor here on the mid-north coast.

Wishing you a great reading week

Sounds like an action packed week – wouldn’t it be great if every weekend had 3 days?! Hope you stayed warm and dry this weekend and that you get to take a bit of a breather over the coming week.

Now that The Good Place is no longer my Friday night priority *sobs* I can go back to a local writers open mic on Fridays. I went along to the second one ever last year and kind of didn’t make it back.
