Playing with fire

He watched the firefighters attempting to extinguish the blaze that had now engulfed over a thousand hectares of bush. The ferociousness of the fire and the animals wailing would haunt him forever.

It’d started innocently enough: ‘Truth or dare?

‘Dare.’

He hoped they’d never find his cigarette lighter.

    I feel bad for this kid, seeing the unintended consequences of what he did. A great/terrible lesson. Nicely done.
