Weekly Gratitude 2020 2/52

2020 gratitude

Hello lovely readers! This is a slightly late gratitude post although I will be backdating the publication to Sunday. I was under the weather for most of Sunday and after meeting some lovely people for Shut the fuck up reading society, I came home and plonked myself on the couch. I also had a very early night. Turns out, I have tonsilitis yet again although this time around, I haven’t lost my voice. Anyway, it’s been a big week and it’s time to look back at all that I am grateful for from 5th January to 11th January 2020:

Going for a 10 km walk from the Spit to Manly on Sunday in a bid to connect with nature and enjoyed the company too

Drinks and dinner and laughs at a brewery after the walk

Having supportive friends provide perspective after being plagued by imposter syndrome and self-doubt midweek

Having dinner made for me – not something I’m used to so I’ll take it when I can

Quiet Friday night in with a book and cat cuddles

Catching up with my friend LS at my favourite cafe on the coast

Catching up with my friends KH and KP on Saturday arvo

Drinks, dinner and hysterical laughs with my friends LC, JC, GP and DB on Saturday night

Some much-needed rain and cool weather for our country

Cats who know when I need cuddles

I’m still feeling blah physically but I’m also grateful I haven’t lost my voice this time around and can only hope it clears up quickly. It has been an emotional week but also good in many ways thanks to the people in my life who continue to support and validate.

How was your week?

Do share!

You have a lot to be grateful for. I love the idea of a weekly summation of the good parts of the week. I think dinner and drinks at a brewery are the perfect rewards for A 10K walk! ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy New Year to you! Sorry to hear you’re unwell (our family gets a lot of tonsillitis too, its the WORST). Can’t argue with all that greatness to be grateful for though. ๐Ÿ™‚

Plenty to be grateful for, although I am sorry to hear you’re not feeling great. That walk sounds perfect.

Ah, the Spit to Manly walk brings back memories for me when I lived in Manly years ago. A wonderful walk.
