Weekly Gratitude 2019 49/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! I finally have WiFi at my new place. Yay for that! It means I can catch up on all my blog reading which is pretty hard to do on a mobile phone. Forgive me if I haven’t commented on your posts in the past two weeks – I’m going to get there slowly. Anyway, it’s that time of the week to reflect back at all that I’m grateful for from 1st December to 7th December 2019:

Brunch date on Sunday with myself and a book at a local café

A good first day on the new job – everyone seems lovely and I’m quietly optimistic about this

Enjoyable commute to and from work with a fair bit of walking

Exercising almost every day – mostly at the gym but also some days of walking

A work forum in the Blue Mountains for two days where I got to meet others in a similar role but from all the different states/regions – it was a great opportunity and they all seem lovely!

An impromptu catch-up with my friends mid-week after work; I can do impromptu catch-ups now in Sydney too!

gratitude week 49

A friend being available on Friday morning to let in the NBN technician so I could finally get Wifi!

Sitting at the beach and reading on Thursday night after work

Team lunch on Friday and getting to know them better

Good Things festival on Saturday and watching Karnivool for the third time this year. They were awesome as always and I managed to get a spot right up front which was pretty cool. It was also pretty awesome seeing Simple Plan and reliving my late teens!

The cats settling into the new home

Being walking distance to a lot of places – I’ve only used my car once since moving here and that was for grocery shopping

It’s been a good week despite my anger, sadness and dread over the bushfires and the lack of consideration by our politicians. I’m a little exhausted and tried to take it easy today by completing some life admin stuff but also managed to explore a bit and joined my local library. I’m enjoying living in an apartment again – it’s cosy and feels homely.

How has your week been?

Do share!

Pleased you are settling in Sydney and the cats too, of course! The bushfires make me feel so sad and the political reaction to them so stabby, I have had to wear my emotional raincoat a lot these past few weeks! Hope you have a great week in the nearly new job. See you Friday!

I’m glad everything seems to be going well in the new job and post-move. And you’ve settled back in after your short break away which is also great (getting back into exercise, socialising etc).

Sanch, glad things are going well in Sydney. I do enjoy those work things where you get to meet people in your field working at different sites. Great to exchange experiences as well as the social element.

I’m happy to hear that you are settling in well and the new job is going well. It can be quite a stressful time. I can relate to your anger and distress over the bushfires, we’re in England at the moment and it’s awful hearing about it all from so far away. #lifethisweek

So hard making transitions and back to Sydney though welcomed was right in the thick of the horrid smoke. At least the weather is cooler as I write. Glad about work news so far. Thanks for linking up for the almost last Life This Week in 2019…not even the penultimate though…Here’s next week’s optional prompt 50/51 Share Your Snaps #10 16/12/19 Hope to see you there. Denyse.
