Weekly Gratitude 2019 47/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you have had a wonderful week. I have had an anxiety-filled and frustrating week thanks to some people who cannot take responsibility and adult. But, apart from that, it has actually been a good week. I feel like I’m progressing on the packing front and the move is closer. Plus, there were several highs this week which I am grateful for. Without further ado, here are all the things I’m grateful for from 17th November 2019 to 23rd November 2019:

Sunday night at my friend LS‘s place to pick up boxes and have dinner together; I was still pretty hungover but it was nice to chat

Coffee catch-up with Denyse on Monday morning at Modern Organic. It’ll be weird not living so close by to catch-up easily

Beach day on Tuesday for an hour

Packing most of my stuff  – the only thing left is clothes, some kitchen stuff and of course, things in the fridge

Booking movers

gratitude week 47

Gym four times this week – managed to train both upper body and lower body. I notice I’m more enthusiastic on leg day!

My lovely friends being good sounding boards for all my anxieties and frustrations

Signing the lease and picking up my keys on Friday

Dinner and drinks with my writing group on Friday night – I am going to miss these ladies!

Live gig on Saturday night – probably the best for 2019 and that’s saying a lot since I saw Karnivool twice this year. Last night was an hour and forty minutes with We Lost the Sea, forty minutes of Meniscus and 30 minutes of Solkyri. The original support act Tangled Thoughts of Leaving had to, unfortunately, pull out at the last minute due to personal issues but in sad circumstances, this was the most amazing gig I’ve been to. I cried, I head-banged, I got transported to a whole other place and yes, it was just incredibly amazing! My right ear is still ringing and my neck is still sore but I have no regrets and I wish I could fly down to Adelaide to see them on Thursday night but with the move, that’s not possible.

So yeah, despite some frustrations about people without boundaries, and people not communicating, it has been a pretty decent week. I’m still reeling from the gig last night in a way I cannot begin to describe.

How was your week?

Do share!

Moving is so stressful. It’s the worst. Probably not the worst but don’t underestimate what it does to you. Good luch with it all, and glad you managed to have so many lovely catch ups. #Lifethisweek

Moving can be a nightmare, so go easy on yourself re your emotional reactions (and yes, I know I’m preaching to the already converted). All the very best with the move & here’s to a more evenly balanced week.

The only good thing about moving is that it’s finite! Hope all goes well with the move and looking forward to catching up when you’re settled!

Well, I will be missing you too for our coffee catch ups. I am, however, pretty sure, we will work on other ways to do so. As I write I know you are that ‘awful’ place of moving…between being packed up and getting settled in. Take care my friend. And wishing you all the very best for next week!!

Thank you for linking up for Life This Week. Next week’s optional prompt is 48/51 Self-Care Stories #7. 2/12/19. I hope to see you there too. Denyse.
