Weekly Gratitude 2019 46/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday, everyone! Hope you are well this fine Sunday morning. I’m nursing a slight hangover this morning. It’s been a weird week and kinda scary with all the bushfires up north and the continued threat with warmer weather and winds. There is a sense of dread that seems to be prevailing given all that is happening in the world and continued denial of climate issues. Anyway, even within this doom and gloom, and personal overwhelm, it’s time to look at things I’m grateful for from 10th November 2019 to 16th November 2019:

Having my friend NG come over on Sunday morning and then again on Monday evening to help clean my place before an open inspection

Catching up with my friend KH and seeing their new home on Sunday arvo

Hanging out doing yoga and then going to the beach with a friend on Monday morning

Getting approved for a rental in Sydney – I sign the lease on Friday and can move the week after. Shit is getting real, people!

Catching up with psychologists from the department at a conference on Thursday – it was my final ‘work’ event and I’m now officially done going in

Being able to exercise from Sunday to Wednesday and then mainly walk on other days

Being in an accident on Thursday evening but fortunately, it wasn’t too bad – it’s more cosmetic damage to the car and a bit of hassle but luckily no one was hurt

Seeing Bri Lee in conversation with Georgie Dent about Bri’s new book ‘Beauty‘ – such interesting and thought-provoking information

Meeting the lovely Tash at the event – finally, after all these years!

Getting my hair done on Friday at the hairdresser’s and loving the look. The last time I did it was in January and since then, have had a few trims at a discounted store and coloured my hair at home. The last person that cut my hair, however, did an awful job of it and it was just before I went overseas. So it was good to go back to a proper hairdresser!

Night out in Newtown with my friends on Friday – lots of laughs, drinks, dinner and dessert

Night out on the coast at The Savoy with my friends on Saturday night – once again, lots of laughs, good conversation and company. I’m going to miss living so close to them

It’s been a good week overall even though there’s been a bit of stress and overwhelm around the packing and organising and the move in general. It’s been emotional too on some level and I know it’s going to continue to be that way.

How has your week been?

Do share!

Moving sucks balls but luckily it’s finite! I hope the move goes smoothly and can’t wait until we are nearly neighbours 🙂

Moving is always a palaver but new starts are priceless. I loved the pics of your new hair the other day & glad your accident wasn’t serious. Have a great week.

It’s pretty hard NOT to be overwhelmed when it is both job and location. It was so good to catch up on Monday too!!
