Weekly Gratitude 2019 42/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Hello everyone! It’s late on a Sunday evening but I’ve been out camping all weekend with a bunch of kids and other volunteers. I’m exhausted but it’s been fun too. It does mean though, I haven’t had much of a weekend and I’m already counting down to Friday night. Not helpful, I know. But anyway, here’s what I’m grateful for from 13th October to 19th October 2019.

Brunch on Sunday with my friends KP, KL, KH and NG on the coast

Meal prepping for the week

Surviving some passive-aggressiveness at work earlier in the week

Reading a sweet book – The Flatshare – in about a week

Going on my first camping weekend as part of a charity group I’m volunteering for

Connecting with some lovely kids (aged 8 to 11) and hearing their stories

Being asked by a couple of the younger kids to be on the canoe with them

Some of the kids teaching me how to make loom bands

Appreciating the quiet times I have at home and the fact that I can be spontaneous

Cat cuddles when I’ve been meh a fair bit this week

It’s been a full-on week and I haven’t had much of a weekend either. Work has been getting me down a fair bit and I’ve been hit by hayfever a fair bit too this week. But the weekend, despite being busy and hectic, was really quite good. I’m hoping the week ahead is better on the work and health front. Time will tell.

How was your week?

Do share!!

I think you’re very brave a) camping b) camping with kids and c) ziplining as I saw on Instagram! Going on kids trips can be exhausting but they’re always rewarding, I’ve done a few in my time. Hope the week ahead puts a smile on your dial and you get some Sanch Time!

When I read about what you were doing on the weekend I thought “why>” now I know why and it would seem it was fun as well as very very tiring. It’s a huge level of supervision but maybe just the tonic to get over some other not great issues.

Thank you for linking up for Life This Week. Next wee’s optional prompt is: 43/51 Your Favourite Book As a Child 28/10/19 BUT I am not following it. I am introducing my Daily Gratitude Instagram Challenge running for the 30 days of November, ending on the last day which is my 70th B’day !! Do add your blog link whichever prompt you choose…even no prompt! Denyse.
