Happy almost-end-of-Sunday everyone! What a week it’s been! It’s been kinda shitty at work but that’s been helped a bit by some decent stuff outside of work. I’m dreading that it’s work again tomorrow but at the same time, I guess I am grateful to have a job. Anyway, without further ado, here are things I’m truly grateful for from 6th October to 12th October 2019:
My first hike of the season since getting back home. Coastal hikes remind me just how much I love our country!
My first beach day this season on Monday. It was a bit fresh but I was glad I went!
My manager and team leader having my back despite some backlash from the team regarding some changes I’m bringing with my role
Meeting Favel Parrett and hearing her speak in Newtown on Tuesday night. I teared up a few times when she talked about grandparents, home and belonging. She was absolutely lovely and once again, I recommend reading all her books!
Visiting the shire after a long time – it was for training purposes on a Thursday night but it was good to drive past my old unit. It still makes me emotional.
Catching up with friends on Friday and Saturday
Receiving We Lost the Sea’s new CD and their back catalogue on the mail on Friday! I honestly cannot wait for their live gig next month!
Seeing my friend’s puppy who turned a year old
Eating Asian food this week. I’m so grateful we live in a country where we have so many cuisines
Cat cuddles when I’ve been home
Going to a gig on Saturday night – live music is always fun
A sleep-in on Saturday – I ended up sleeping for 10 hours. Not something I do often but I was obviously exhausted!
It’s been an emotionally and physically draining week but like I said earlier, I am grateful to have other things in life that keep me sane and balanced. I haven’t exercised much this week but I’m seriously hoping to rectify that in the coming weeks.
