Weekly Gratitude 2019 40/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! It’s a long weekend down here for some of us and I’m glad to have the day off tomorrow. I know I’ve only been back from a month off work but it’s been one of those weeks at work where I’ve been a bit snowed under. It got to the point on Friday I was so busy in the inpatient unit, the nursing staff gave me some hospital food for lunch so I could eat while writing up my notes. Fun times! Not. Anyway, I’m not here to whinge but rather, to look back at all that I’m grateful for from 29th September 2019 to 5th October 2019:

Finishing the most beautiful book – There was still love by Favel Parrett on Sunday morning – less than 24 hours after I’d bought it. I can’t wait to see her speak later this week!

Brunch with my friend KH on Sunday at my favourite cafe

Meal prepping for the week

Busy but fulfilling private practice evenings

Catching up with my friend LS for dinner on Thursday night

Gymming three times this week – better than nothing I suppose! Still trying hard to get back into the routine

Clinical supervision with my supervisor to help gain clarity on a whole bunch of things I’ve been mulling about professionally

Dumpling dinner night on Friday with KP and KH

Listening to We lost the sea’s new album Triumph and Disaster, on repeat pretty much since Friday. I can’t wait to see them live next month

Catching up with my friend ZW for brunch and seeing her dog, Nora for the first time

Catching up with my friends JR, JC, HW, and DB for dinner and laughs in Sydney

Watching some pretty awesome shows – Unbelievable on Netflix and The Hunting on SBS. I’ll confess it brings to light how frustrating and depressing it is to be a woman but at the same time, I highly recommend it

I’m hoping for a bit of warm weather this weekend so I can finally hit the beach. Usually I have my first swim in September but this year, because I was away for most of September, and because since I’ve been back, we haven’t really had beach weather {except for 27 to 30 degrees when I’m at work!!!}, I haven’t got my first swim in yet.

How has your week been?

Do share!

I’ve heard great things about “There Was Still Love” so must get around to adding it to my TBR pile. I had my first ocean swim in the beginning of September up in Agnes Water and am now also swimming in the pool – mind you, it’s still pretty chilly but we’ve been having some warm days… Have a great week.

What a fun week and lots to be grateful for! My husband is off work so we’ve had lots of fun family time with the new furry addition to the family plus lots of visitors because Teddy Roosevelt is quite the star attraction1

Bit iffy still for the beach with this influx of cold again but I am sure it will be just around the corner and the heat will get to us!

Work sounds full-on and in your line of work, as in education, there are no real breaks…glad you have an awesome supervisor.

Thank you for linking up for #lifethisweek. Next week the optional prompt is 41/51 “Your Choice of Prompt” 14/10/19. Hope to see you there, Denyse.

As you know I adored There Was Still Love and was very jealous you got to hear Favel speak and meet her since you wrote this!

I’m always impressed that you go for hikes and socialise a bit on weekends. I was always too lazy when working full-time and still am now, though I have far more time on my hands!!!

I keep meaning to get myself to my nearby beach for regular walks, but can’t seem to make it!
