Weekly Gratitude 2019 39/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! It’s a late one here but as it’s still Sunday, it’ll do. I can’t believe it’s been a week since I’ve been home. By all means, it has been pretty uneventful but it’s good to be back. I’ve been back at work but have only just eased into the gym. Hopefully from tomorrow, it’ll be back to my usual routine. Anyway, it’s time now though, to look back at all that I’m grateful for from 22nd September to 28th September 2019:

Getting home after a long-ass flight and almost 36 hours of barely any sleep

Two affectionate and clingy cats to greet me and stay with me on getting home

Watching the Birds of Tokyo gig in Newcastle on Sunday night

Surviving a snakey episode! In case you didn’t see my Instagram stories, on Monday, I found – or rather, Buttons found a diamond python in the backyard. While I know it won’t harm me in any way, I’m not so certain of the cats!

Being missed at work for my expertise – I felt quite valued when my team leader said that

gratitude week 39

Being able to ease back into work

Catching up with my friend NG and her cats

Going back to the gym – first for yoga with a friend on Thursday night and then leg-day on my own on Saturday

Buying three new books and starting one of those on Saturday night

Having my own space, enjoying my coffee, chatting with my friends in the same time zone, sitting on the couch and reading, watching Netflix, and cuddling with my cats – basically, being home

While this week hasn’t been about travel or the big things, it also brings to front how grounding it is to be home. I love exploring but I also love places, connections and the small things that ground me.

How has your week been?

Do share!

Oh, I loved seeing your Instagram stories and who awaited you when you arrived home. I’m talking about the snake. Gosh, it was huge and so so scary. Loved how obedient your cat was(Was that Pebbles?) when you asked him not to step outside in the night. How cute! 🙂 Wishing you a fun-filled week, Sanch.

Yikes that snake was hideous and gave me the heebyjeebies – I hope no more such visitors. You are brave to stay there – I would have moved locked stock and barrel in a jiffy. God I hate reptiles so much-UGH!!!

Yay for the valuation at work-thats huge and feels good to know that you are part of something good. Your cats are just adorable and I am sure they missed you as much as you missed them.

Looking forward to hearing about your trip and all the pics from there. Wishing you a fabulous week ahead Sanch xoxox

I completely get you. I love to travel and I love to be home. Happy to hear how you eased. The way your perry’s welcome you back, hardly anyone else does. And always good to be missed at work.

Welcome home! I thoroughly enjoyed being along with you for the ride – virtually speaking, of course. Finally yes, I’d be watching that python with your cats.

I’m with you, as much as I love an adventure, it’s always SO good to be home, especially after that long ass flight! Hope you have all recovered from the snake episode! I love that you kitties gave you such a warm welcome. Loved virtually following along on your adventures!

A snake adventure. Woooah! Sounds fun. Sorry don’t kill me, but I love all animals, reptiles included and had some incredible snake adventures recently.

But glad the kittys are safe.

    Sounds like a great week.

    God bless loads.

Welcome home Sanch! I’ve been home just on a week now too and am only just starting to feel grounded now. Those long haul flights are killers aren’t they? That snake sounds too much to handle – yikes!!! But I’m so happy for you to have been missed at work, that’s lovely to be told your skills are valued. #lifethisweek

The size of that snake, makes me never want to live close to bush…although I guess around here we do. I am glad you sorted it …kind of. What a lovely welcome back at work. Go you!!
