Weekly Gratitude 2019 34/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday from Zagreb everyone! It’s still early here but turns out, coffee shops won’t open till 8 so I figure I have time to quickly write this before heading out for the day. I landed in Zagreb yesterday afternoon after almost 23 hours travelling. I was tired but forced myself to get out and about till about 7 pm when I came back and crashed. But at least it means no major jet lag! Anyway, it’s time for me to look back at all I am grateful for from 18th August to 24th August 2019:

Hosting RSPCA cupcake day with my friend – Sunday afternoon was a bit of a sugar coma but we ended up raising $601 in total thanks to generous donations

Long working days due to trying to fit in private practice clients before heading off on holidays – it made me grateful to enjoy private practice because even though it was draining, I still felt reasonably fulfilled

Giving myself permission to sleep in on Wednesday and Thursday and not go to the gym – it’s all about balance

Supervision with my supervisor and giving my stuff to reflect on in terms of my career

Completing all my 2019 reading challenges on Thursday – I have yet to post some book reviews but I aim to do that once I get back home

Cat cuddles and lots of them – I know I’m going to miss them while I’m away

Catching up with my friend and her baby for coffee and breakfast on Friday morning

Catching up with a friend for a drink on my way to the airport

Checking in and getting through customs smoothly in Sydney and then being able to wind down officially with a drink

A smooth plane ride albeit a long one!

Getting to Zagreb and clearing immigration and getting my bags quickly – it’s my first time in Europe

Checking into my hostel and wandering the streets for a few hours, having something to eat and enjoying a local craft beer before heading back for an early night in order to avoid jet lag

And that’s where I’m at now. I’m excited and a bit nervous but mainly excited. I think most hostels I’m in have WiFi but given I am part of different tours, only time will tell how much I can blog. You can continue to follow my adventures on Instagram if you’re so inclined. I will apologise in advance for limited blog hopping options but will read you all when I get back home in about a month.
