Weekly Gratitude 2019 27/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope your Sunday has been going well so far. I’ve been decluttering my closet and reorganising things this morning and it has felt great! I decluttered a few months but felt like I was due for another round. Anyway, rather than talk about decluttering, I’m here to look back at things I’m grateful for from 30th June to 6th July 2019.

Winding down on Sunday in Wollombi

Finishing Fahrenheit 451 on Sunday afternoon in the sunshine. Not a genre I normally read but a book I thoroughly enjoyed!

Watching the final season of Jessica Jones on Netflix

Catching up for a drink with my friend KH after work

An interesting conversation with a friend about living life in reverse; it’s been on my mind for a few weeks and I need to write about it

Listening to the new song by We Lost the Sea {still a bit bummed though I’ll be overseas the day they have an album preview show in Sydney!}

Quiet Friday night at home with the cats, wine and cheese and starting Stranger Things

My personal essay being voted as a crowd favourite over at YeahWrite

Catching up with a couple of my old work friends in Sydney on Saturday arvo

Saturday night in Sydney with some mates – we did The Rocks ghost tour and explored parts of Sydney I haven’t actually seen before!

It’s been a good week. Work has been a little quiet but I’ll take it when I can. I’m feeling quite restless though and despite being busy and content with most things, I know I want to go back to Sydney and I think that’s playing a part in my restlessness. Having said that, I’m not going to make reactive decisions so I just have to sit with the restlessness for a while. This is a short work week for me – I’m heading to Brisbane for a long-ish weekend and looking to explore the area apart from going to the music festival.

How has your week been?

Do share!

My week was a work conference and the weekend has gone in a blink with errands. But I start a secondment tomorrow and I’m looking forward to a new challenge as I’ve been in my current job the longest I’ve ever had a single role, so it’s time. I’m going to take it easy this week as I settle into the new job. And I need to get my fire pit out. Good reminder to buy some wood.

Yay on the secondment! Also awesome you got to go to Adelaide for a conference. I need to do an interstate one next year. Good luck with the new role and settling in!

What a relaxing beautiful week you had! I was decluttering too. Well, I get this sudden urge to clean sometimes. 😛 Congratulations on YeahWrite 🙂 Here’s to an even better week!

Life in reverse – I’m looking forward to hearing more about that. Enjoy your weekend in Brissie. Note to self – I NEED a fire pit…

A good week by anyone’s standards! Congrats on the essay selection too 🙂 . My week was nice and quiet, a few days at home after being away for the month then away for the weekend. #lifethisweek

I am so pleased for much of what you have written in this post.

Have you come across Dr Jud Brewer US Psychiatrist work on Craving? I am listening at the moment (the narrator’s voice is annoying but content is very interesting). Jud’s on twitter and his words about “addicted to thinking” and more are literally making me view what I do a lot. I first came across him on my Calm subscription where he has a masterclass on craving.

Thank you for linking up for #lifethisweek. Next week’s optional prompt is Self-Care Sharing Your Story. I hope you will consider linking up again. Denyse.
