Illness

Worthless!’
Kill yourself!’
Faceless voices sneer

Shadows,
bugs, demons;
Unseen beings appear

Life
lived unexperienced,
frozen with fear

    Depression – that’s what I thought of when I finished reading your poem. I am always impressed by how concise and crisp your poems are.

    I think you’ve found your poetry form! I love it when that happens. Your solitary words were chosen with care, and the line breaks worked to your advantage. My only note is the word “bugs”. It felt a little too informal to me compared to the rest of the word choices.

      Thanks, I did wonder about that after hitting publish! I might change the word after the voting process
