Weekly Gratitude 2019 22/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! I come to you a bit late today after a slightly slow day reading, listening to music, meal prepping and catching up with friends. It’s been grey and rainy which makes it easier to stay indoors. It’s been a busy week but fulfilling in many ways. Here are all the things I’m grateful for from 26th May to 1st June 2019:

Having time to read and relax on Sunday morning

A sunset walk by the lake on Sunday evening

Meal prepping for the week – it felt like I hadn’t eaten healthy meals for a few weeks so this felt good to do

Feeling productive at work and having a couple of clients express gratitude for my support

Making spontaneous plans with a friend for a trip to Melbourne later this month and booking my flights

week 22

Good supervision session with my supervisor on Thursday. I may or may not have teared up about some stuff

Seeing Karnivool two nights in a row after almost three years {one in Newcastle and one in Sydney}. They are honestly the best live act I’ve ever seen!! And of course, I continue my slight obsession with Kenny!

Someone at the Sydney Karnivool gig being kind enough to let me stand up the front after possibly feeling sorry for me. To those who don’t know, I’m 5 feet tall (152 cm) and at gigs, people are a whole lot taller than me!!

My personal essay being chosen as one of the editor’s picks at YeahWrite

Karnivool replying to a tweet and Opus of a Machine {another favourite band of mine} following me on Instagram – feels like #lifegoals! I love social media by the way!

All in all, it was a good week. My neck is still a little sore from the headbanging two nights in a row but my heart is full. I can’t wait for new music from Karnivool but in the meantime, I’m going to enjoy the good stuff and also continue to explore other artists.

How was your week?

Do share!

I’ve actually done some meal planning this week – although no prepping (one of the perks of working from home). And at not much over 5ft myself I can empathise with you re tall people!

I’m only 5’3 so I can empathise with the small people problems – gigs and theatres are a nightmare! Very exciting about your trip to Melbourne – it’s good to be spontaneous! I am loving the cold weather because it’s perfect for drinking red wine, eating curries and it’s finally cold enough to run at any time of day and run in long sleeves! I’ve also been getting lots of work (I’m a relief teacher) which has been keeping me very busy. Hope you have a wonderful week!

I understand the height issue at concerts. My mother is only 4 foot 11 . I’m only 5’5″. My dad was only 5’8″. Keep the poems coming 🙂

What a good week. Tearing up with the supervisor..means stuff comes out and that is good right! I am short as you know and at Vivid I sure paid for that on the boat. BIG TALL people have NO idea of how much space they took up and blocked my view!!
Thank you for joining in #lifethisweek. Next week’s prompt is 23/51 My Best Birthday Cake. 10/6/19 Denyse.
