Weekly Gratitude 2019 18/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! I’m coming to you a bit late in the day given I’ve been away camping most of this weekend and only got home about 90 minutes ago. Hope your Sunday has been going swimmingly so far! Without further ado, here are some of the things I’ve been grateful for from 28th April 2019 to 4th May 2019.

Watching a glorious sunset on Sunday at Long Jetty

Listening to We Lost the Sea on repeat and experiencing frisson – something new I learnt thanks to a friend!

Good supervision session with my supervisor on Monday who keeps reminding me I’m too hard on myself

Going off the grid for a few days deliberately and not using social media or my phone for three days; instead, I focussed on reading

Finishing The Shepherd’s Hut by Tim Winton and enjoying it

gratitude week 18

Cat cuddles

An outcome that I’d been hoping for finally coming through thereby taking a huge weight off my shoulders

Camping after almost a year

Lunch with Sydney friends at my favourite cafe on the coast on Saturday before camping

Watching the night sky full of stars, realising how insignificant we are in the universe, feeling liberated at the same and falling asleep to the sound of the waves

It’s been another tough week emotionally but I keep pushing on, taking it one day at a time. It’s nice to have friends to chat with, nice to have nature around, amazing to listen to music that gives me goosebumps and chills, and realise that the world is maybe not a completely dark and depressing place.

Glad the weight is off your shoulders, wish it would be off my butt. Boomtish. I seem to have missed something but the world is not a dark and depressing place – just look at your beautiful photos to see that. There are just moments, sometimes a long string of moments together, but they always will eventually pass, that make it seem that way. Take care of yourself.

I love the idea of disconnecting from technology and hooking up with a book. Pleased that that weight has been lifted – I always like to remind myself that winter always turns to spring – I know it sounds a bit cliched but it’s the law of the universe! Hope you have a wonderful week!

Weirdly enough this is the 3rd time in the last few days I’ve read something about frission – obviously, it means I should be taking notice. I love the image of going to sleep under a ceiling of stars with the sound of the ocean…yet camping, as in no flushing toilets isn’t my thing – although I fantasise about it being my thing. Your pics on Instagram from the weekend were fab. Have a great week.

These posts are a real effort Sanch; I tried imagining if I could write them and realised I wouldnt be able to. You go gurl – pushing yourself is your job and you are doing a great effort out of it!

Camping sounds like awesome fun and I dont remember every doing it – isnt that weird? I mean I have stayed in some desert/ riverside camp resorts but never camped out with friends.

Your reading spree has been awesome and I have been looking forward to the reviews – shall check them out after this post.

Much hugs and love from India – am a ping away XOXO

Admiring nature always gives a soothing effect on the soul. Friends are the only people who keep the colours in life alive.

Scheduled going off the grid is such a good thing! I’m off Twtitter at the moment and it’s done me a world of good.

This is nice that you are holding out well. A good recap of your week. I liked that you took some time and read. I think that is super relaxing. That something that fell in place is also nice. Hope the next week continues to be good.

How special are those moments looking up at the stars and contemplating big things. And frisson is such an amazing word!

Well-done you for keeping on keeping on. Yes! Glad your supervisor told you what I could have….and probably to my reflection in the mirror. Too hard on ourselves united… not. Back to being kinder and more self-compassionate.

Thanks for linking up for #lifethisweek. Next week’s optional prompt: 19/51 Contentment Is…13/5/19 I hope you will join in! Denyse

Love the sunset! Good job on taking care of yourself and happy to know that your supervisor told you the right thing. You know, Sanch – we are not kind to ourselves. Keep letting go a bit more every day, a bit more kind every day and I am sure you will see the change.
    Take care! Hugs and love!

Great idea to enjoy nature so you can relax and “reenergize your batteries”. We love hiking and camping, it is so amazing that simple things are so powerful.
