Unwedded bliss

Give me a reason

why I should stay,

why I shouldn’t leave you

and go my own way

Tell me why you want me

what I add to your life;

what is it we share

other than moments of strife

Things would be better

if we were split apart;

we wouldn’t spend each day

nursing shattered hearts

Being together isn’t bliss

not for us anyway;

it’s the idea of togetherness

that made us want to stay

I now see it clearly

why it’s time for me to go,

there never was any love

nor any room for us to grow

    Sometimes it is good to let go than holding on when things are definitely not alright. Beautifully written as always.

    Beautifully penned, as always. Makes me thing of that quote..

    It’s easy to hold on or even let go. Trickier to know when we should hold on, and when it’s time to let go (or something like that)

    Whether your wedded or not , it’s better to end a relationship when it seems to be going nowhere. It is always difficult though possibly less complicated when you are not legally bound to one another .
    I love your poetry and enjoyed this one .

    There is, indeed, no meaning in a relationship if there’s no love!
    Beautifully written, Sanch! Loved it!
