Weekly Gratitude 2019 14/52

2019 weekly gratitude

How is it almost Sunday evening already? We’ve turned back the clocks here and have said goodbye to daylight savings. I foresee a very miserable me tonight as the sun sets by six. But luckily, it’s warm today and I am going to the beach shortly. It’s much needed after a pretty grey and wet week. In case you haven’t figured, I don’t do grey skies, rain or cold too well. But anyway, without further ado, it’s time for me to look back on things I’m grateful for from 31st March to 6th April 2019. I won’t lie – it was a little difficult given I’ve been in a funk but it’s still possible to be grateful.

Hiking in the Blue Mountains on Sunday – it was lovely to hike a track new to me and enjoy beautiful cascades and autumn colours along the way

Lots of laughs and good conversations with friends on Sunday

Busy work week but one that kept my mind off my own issues

Awesome music recommendations by a friend

Friends checking in on me knowing I’m in a funk

Kitty cuddles!

Good supervision session with my supervisor

Dumplings with friends on Friday night – it was nice to catch up with them and also to eat dumplings after ages!

Attending an author event at Dymocks – Jenna Guillaume was promoting her latest novel – and then book shopping

Saturday night out with Sydney friends eating Indonesian food, having a couple of drinks, lots of laughs and good conversation

The weekend seems to have flown by. I am waiting for the Easter long weekend – not that I have plans but I just would like a few consecutive days off. There are days I find myself wondering – is this it? Is this life? And then there are other days when I appreciate it a lot more. I know it’s all my own existential stuff and it’s always there in the background. I am content with a lot of it while at the same time trying to figure out why the funk. Oh well.

How has your week been?

 Do share!

Until next time,

Even I’m wondering where did the weekend go! It always feels nice to catch up with friends especially when you are feeling a little low. And about the gloomy skies and sunshine, I was craving for summer after a taste of the European winters, but now the heat is just too much to bear 🙁
Hope you have a wonderful week!
