Weekly Gratitude 2019 13/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! I come to you quite late this Sunday having just gotten home this evening from a spontaneous weekend getaway with some friends. It’s been another topsy-turvy week in terms of my physical and mental health which is why going away for the weekend was a fantastic idea. Here are some of the things I am grateful for from 24th March to 30th March 2019.

Going to yoga on Sunday morning for the first time in two months

Enjoying a couple of hours at the beach

Reading an amazing book – Normal People by Sally Rooney in three days. Review to come soon on the blog

Speaking to my mate AL on Thursday night – much needed chat!

Finding out Karnivool are touring in May and buying tickets to two of their shows. Last time I saw them was back in 2016 and I’ve been hanging out for new music by them

Having Friday off work as an RDO

Dinner with a couple of my girlfriends on Friday night

Writing group on Saturday morning – even though I haven’t written, I love catching up with these ladies and reading what they write. Plus they are so supportive!

Weekend getaway to the Blue Mountains with JC, GP and DB – the drive up on Saturday was filled with uncontrollable laughs, swearing our way through the cold in the mountains, enjoying rum and ginger beer at The Three Sisters, watching the sunset and having an awesome dinner at a retro place, Aunty Jack’s

Playing Space Invaders and Pac-Man at Aunty Jack’s – brought back some childhood memories!

Despite a stressful work week, my kinda fragile mental health, questionable physical health, there was still a lot to be grateful for. Sometimes when the darkness hits, it can be hard to remember these. But then at the end of the week, I recap it all and it reminds me there is still stuff to be thankful for.

How was your week?

Do share!

Until next time,

It’s been too long since I came by your blog, Sanch.
Gratitude is sometimes the one thing we can hold on to and pull ourselves out of darkness. Take care.

Feels like a decent week to me despite the pitfalls. It’s good that you went for Yoga again. Also impromptu plans are sometimes so nice. Hope the coming week pans out well.

Rum and ginger beer, that’s a lot of sugar! I love the Blue Mountains, pity you got it on an early cold weekend.

So wonderful Sanch that you write your weekly gratitude. So important to help one keep that chin up despite the pitfalls.

May the weeks ahead be blessed, and may you feel physically and mentally energised. God speed.

I know I had said this earlier, but I love reading your weekly gratitude. I think I have missed out the last couple of posts for some reason.
Anyway, how did the yoga practice go? I would love some strength training tips from you. I am doing it, but not much idea. Yoga and pilates are my favorite workout forms. I saw a lot of youtube videos for strength training with no equipment which was mostly pilates. Is pilates a form of strength training?
    Love your photos, Sanch. 🙂
Hope you are having a good week. <3
