2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday lovely readers! It’s rainy and cool down this way and I just want my hot summer back so I can hit the beach and not have to deal with sinus headaches! But it’s looking like another rainy week ahead. This week has been slightly draining but at the same time, there has been a lot to be grateful for. Here are some things that I can look back at with gratitude from 17th February to 23rd February 2019.

Catch up and coffee on Sunday morning with two girlfriends

Dinner with a friend at her place on Monday night

Having a very supportive team leader regarding personal issues in my life

A friend taking time out of her workday to come with me for an appointment which was emotionally difficult

A client telling me they couldn’t have gotten to where they are without my help – that was overwhelming especially as the current role doesn’t allow for long-term intervention and is more about listening, counselling and directing young people to appropriate services

The privilege of listening to people’s stories and seeing their raw selves through my work

Good supervision session with my supervisor this week

Friday night dinner with friends

A friend checking in on me to ensure I am safe at night

My friend and old housemate, Z coming over on Saturday

Saturday coffee from my favourite cafe after a workout – I love that they know me and my coffee order

Great exercise week and feeling good about myself

So yeah, while it’s been an emotionally draining week, I have had a lot of love and kindness from friends {offline and online} and colleagues and I am overwhelmed by it and oh-so-grateful. I haven’t been able to go to the beach but I have read, listened to awesome music and relaxed when I’ve had the time.

    That looks likes a decent week to me. It is nice to have supportive co-workers and supervisors. Good to hear about your workout, friends, cats and kindness both online and offline. Hope you have a nice week ahead!

    Sounds like a good and busy week. I love to read your workout updates. I have started to do strength training exercises, too, with weights and all. Of course,I’m taking it slow because of my bad back. But 3 days a week I’m working out at the gym with weights. Who would’ve thought! 🙂
    Having good co-workers is as important as good friends. I am glad you have both.
