Weekly Gratitude 2019 4/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Hello everyone! Welcome to another Sunday edition of my weekly gratitude posts. I do love these posts and sharing things I’ve been grateful for. It’s been a bit of a mixed bag week – my sleep has been disturbed thanks to an anxious cat on most nights and consequently, my anxiety and my moods have been up and down. I also exercised only four times this week but amidst all this, there is still lots to be grateful for from 20th January to 26th January 2019.

Sunday morning with some of the friends from Sydney who stayed over – we went to my favourite cafe for breakfast and then wandered through the streets of Long Jetty

Reading an amazing book that was quite difficult and emotionally charged – The Last time we say goodbye – I was sobbing in the end, actual ugly sobs and it’s staying with me a week later

Two early nights this week – I was so exhausted I went to bed by 830 on Monday and Tuesday – it was still broken but longer than I have had in a while

A colleague at work reminding me to share the load and not take on too much

Another colleague having my back when I made an error and reassuring me that they’ve all at some point made that mistake

Planning some holidays for later in the year

Supervision with my supervisor – it’s been a while and it was good to have a catch-up

Having a couple of friends come over Friday evening for cheese, wine, and other nibbles

Relaxed Saturday which included a couple of hours at the beach, chatting with my sister, reading and Netflix

Editing my short story for a competition until it met the word limit and finally submitting it

As I said, it’s been a mixed bag but with lots to be grateful for. I’m looking forward to Progfest {progressive rock festival} later today and also, public holiday Monday. I’m hoping I can better my exercise regime this week and sleep better too.

How was your week?

Do share!

An eventful week for you!! I will be checking out The Last Time We Say Goodbye. It’s been ages since I read emotionally charged book. It’s good to have supportive colleagues. All the best for your short story competition. Have a great week ahead.

This week has been really great for you. That’s good. Spending Sunday with friends and enjoying a book is the best thing one can have in life.

As you say, a mixed bag, but also positive and great in many productive ways. Wishing you a great week ahead, Sanch.

Definitely a mixed bag for you. Good stuff completing your story and submitting it. Also about reading the book. I finished reading Marie Kondo — The Joy of Tidying up this week. Loved it along with the Netflix series. Exercised 5 days in this week. Had a bit of a pin in the right knee so took it easy for 2 days till it got okay. Cooked a bunch of stuff. Lots of satisfactory work done. Overall a decent week for me as well.

Life is always a mixed bag, hey? But I love that you have found the flip side and so much to be grateful for. I am grateful for air con, being lucky enough to call Australia home, like you booking some holidays (I love having something to look forward to!) plenty of work to keep me out of mischief and some really wonderful books. When I get back from the UK we must definitely plan out some beer and cheer!

Love your gratitude posts and I am pleased to see that going out is a key to having fun. Long Jetty is so different to the rest of the coast. I have been a couple of times and had a wander and a coffee. Both to the place with the green walls (the yoga one where you can eat upstairs outside) and to the one opposite The Onion place. I did not like the Glass Onion when I went but that was ages ago. I am sure we will find a place to catch up! I typically go mid Mondays after I have been to my hairdresser at The Entrance. The other place I like is 2 Birds at Toowoon Bay.

Thank you for linking up for #lifethisweek. Next week the optional prompt is the first of the regular photography ones: Share Your Snaps. 4/2/2019. Denyse

A mixed bag indeed Sanch, and I hope by now you’re feeling better. All the best for the new week and it’s always good to be reminded not to take on too much isn’t it? #lifethisweek
