Weekly Gratitude 2019 2/52

2019 weekly gratitude

Happy Sunday everyone! I’m assuming if you’re Down Under, some of you may have gone back to work this week. The roads have been a little bit busier but still pretty good as it’s school holidays and of course, not everyone has gone back to work. Anyway, without further ado, here are some things I am grateful for from 6th January to 12th January 2018.

Catching up with a couple of friends for brunch on Sunday – our plans to hit the beach were thwarted by cold, windy and extremely unseasonal weather!

Having my friend and his son come over Sunday arvo because the little one wanted to play with the cats

Really good managers at work who have my back and are super supportive

Feeling quite privileged that people share their rawest selves with me as part of my work; they put on a mask for everyone around but are willing to drop it in front of me {and other health professionals} and that is not something I take for granted

Mid-week book club with the girls where we talked about If cats disappeared from the world, meaning, purpose, Netflix, life, and everything in between

My friend KH asking me if I was going to be doing anything for my birthday and basically prompting me to organise something. I wasn’t going to but I figured, you turn 35 only once!

Catching up with my friend AL for dinner on Friday night and talking about deep and meaningful stuff as well as the possibility of working together again in the future

Getting my hair recoloured on Saturday morning and loving it! It’s vibrant and different and I was due for a change given the last time I had it coloured was back in April last year

Finishing the first draft of a short story – it’s been a while and it feels good!

My friend AU coming over from Melbourne for the weekend – it was good to catch up in person after so long and to show her around the coast!

Interesting conversations with friends over text while reading and sharing articles and essays. Pocket is a rabbit hole for articles, by the way!

Reducing my phone usage by 50 per cent this week {Thanks, Apple for making me feel super guilty last week!}

That was my week. Busy, and fulfilling in many ways. I didn’t get to the beach thanks to crappy weather for most of the week and I was also a bit off with my exercise this week but I’m hoping things improve this coming week.

How was your week?

Do share!

Those were too many nice things packed in a week! How wonderful is that. Having friends around and having a super supportive management takes care of both personal and professional space. By the way, your hair looks lovely 🙂 Have a fruitful week ahead.

First of, your hair looks AWESOME!!! It suits you perfectly, that colour….I think you should do this often, and not once a year. It will lift your spirits…

Great to have friends with whom you can have deep conversations….I have been doing it since the month began–it’s a goal I made for myself this year–to communicate with my close friends and cousins and not be this loner anymore. And, it really feels so so good after every phone call.

Keep it up, Sanch! May you have many more friends to chat with–I am here, too–and keep writing…Waiting for your book to come out some day!

This was a nice week, Sanch! Always good to spend quality time with friends. Also nice to have supportive colleagues and management. I am very intrigued by your work. Meant to talk more about it when we met but somehow did not get the opportunity. It indeed is a privilege when people open up to you and you can make a difference in their lives.

Your hair looks so good. I love the red!!! Having good friends with whom you can have deep conversations is a bliss. We sometimes don’t seem to notice it until its gone. Having great friends is what keeps you happy and sane if you ask me.

Are you sure your week has only 7 days? How did you manage to include so much in a week, wow! It’s good to have so many good friends, to talk, to share and to watch your back.

Also, your hair looks lovely. And if you haven’t said you were 35, no one would have guessed it. Seriously, when we met, I thought you were in late twenties. And btw, a very happy birthay, Sanchee!! Hope you have a great time with your friends and closed ones!

    Keep writing!

So much to be grateful for! Your hair looks fabulous and I am so pleased you are going to do something for your birthday – another trip around the sun is definitely worth celebrating. I got some relief teaching this week and am back at my old workplace with my old friends which has been so lovely. We had an ace weekend in Hobart – we went down for the Cadbury 10k and although it was my slowest ever I still had fun and am grateful I made it to the finish line. I heard really sad news of friends at the weekend – one whose husband was killed in a fatal accident and the other who received a terminal diagnosis – most of all it made me grateful for all the good things and people in my life and every day I get to wake up and enjoy them.

Plenty to be grateful there. Your hair is fabulous and I’m absolutely not ever ever ever going to have a look at Pocket – I don’t need another rabbit hole in my life lol. Oh, and happy birthday…in advance. Every year is worth celebrating.

I love your hair, Sanch! Well done on reducing your phone time this week. I need to have a crack at this over the coming week.

Made me very happy to read how well you are supported in your workplace! Loved the hairdo too. This year is starting off very well indeed. Long may this continue.
