Weekly Gratitude 2018 51/52

Happy Sunday everyone! It’s the second-last Sunday of 2018. I’m sure many of you are on holidays or busy with Christmas prep. For me, it’s neither. But I’m not complaining. I’m working on Christmas eve, then have the public holidays and am back at work again on Thursday and Friday. But I honestly prefer working this time of the year. Anyway, it’s time for me to reflect on the things I’m grateful for from 16th December 2018 to 22nd December 2018.

Starting Sunday with a yoga class

Reading at the beach on a slightly cooler Sunday evening

Exercising everyday this week

Monday night dinner with my friend KP

Going to the beach for a swim on Monday after work – just in time too as the weather was not conducive to swimming the rest of the week

Not doing too much damage to my knee after being clumsy and falling over on Wednesday morning walking from my car to work

Lovely people checking in on me when I posted the picture and not believing me that it wasn’t as bad as it looked in the photo

Having a supportive manager and team leader in my new position

Feeling optimistic about work again

Thinking about how I want to be remembered when I die and realising I’ve probably subconsciously known it all along

Thursday night Christmas dinner with my writing group – it was lovely to catch up and chat about writing and books but more importantly, connecting on deeper stuff we have all been going through

Lovely Christmas lunch at work on Friday and everyone loving the chocolate and peanut butter fudge I made {thanks Rachna!}

Quiet Friday night in which was quite enjoyable even though my plans to see Dean Lewis live were foiled due to him being sick {he’s human!}

Brunch with my friend KH on Saturday and then going to the Big Bash with her and her boyfriend. Sure the Scorchers lost but it was good to see a game at the start of the season. Oh, and I also got to see Gilly as he made a dash to the commentary box!

There has been a lot to be grateful for this week. My life is by no means a bed of roses but it’s nice to remember the good stuff because when shit happens, I can remember that things do change. Everything is transient.

How has your week been?

Do share!

Until next time,

    Your week seems to have been very happening. Have an amazing holiday season and have lots of good food and read to your hearts content. And then am sure you’ll be even more enthusiastic about your work in the new year.
