Weekly Gratitude 2018 46/52

Happy Sunday from Bombay, lovely readers! I touched down on Indian soil late Thursday night and my sinuses responded with sniffles straight away. Luckily for me, I was expecting it and have been dosing up on allergy medications since. It’s been a whirlwind week and has felt so much longer than just seven days. I guess that can happen when you try and fit in catching up with friends, finishing off at your workplace and travelling to a different time zone. Without further ado, it’s time to look at all that I am grateful for from 11th November to 17th November 2018.

Sunday at the beach with my friend JK and then enjoying a chat, live music in the arvo and downing a beer

Going to the beach on Monday night after work for a swim; the water was glorious and I was able to slow down and appreciate the little things like the reflection of the sun on the water

Farewell lunch with my lovely colleagues

My lovely colleagues buying the Potterhead me the most beautiful send-off gifts and writing lovely messages on the card! I am going to miss working with them

Packing up all my work stuff and culling a fair bit. I’m ready for a new adventure when I get back

Book club on Wednesday night where we discussed everything but the book and had some really deep and meaningful conversations

Getting a good seat {by the window} on the Sydney to Singapore flight next to a friendly couple and watching Sharp Objects during the eight-hour flight

Seeing my parents and sister after three years

South Indian filter coffee {or filter kaapi} as it is called

Reading some wonderful books: I finished By Sea and Stars by Trent Dalton just before I left Sydney and What I talk about when I talk about running by Haruki Murakami after I got here {reviews to come!}. I am currently reading Friend Request by Laura Marshall {thanks for the gift Shalz!} and savouring short stories – Swimming among the stars by Kanishk Tharoor in between this

That’s been my week. Busy and a bit of a blur. I am missing my kitties big time and still can’t believe I won’t be seeing them for another two weeks and a bit. Oh and I do miss blue skies. Seriously, Bombay — what’s with the smog?

How has your week been?

Do share!

The smog is worse in Delhi. And, how I’m craving for a better quality air.

Travelling to meet ones family is always wonderful. Enjoy the coffee, ignore the smog. Shall wait for your reviews of the books, specially the Murakami.
