Weekly Gratitude 2018 39/52

Happy Sunday, everyone! It’s a good Sunday down this way as we have a long weekend. Hooray for not working Mondays! It’s been a rollercoaster of a week. I have realised I’m well and truly burnt out at work and in dire need a holiday or a change. I have also been contemplating the big things in life – building meaning, death and dying, purpose, connectedness and relationships. It’s not pretty being in my head! Anyhoo, it’s time now to reflect on all the things I’m grateful for from 23rd September to 29th September 2018.

Decluttering my kitchen

Exercising every single day this week – strength-training, yoga, and walks

Long vulnerable conversations

Love from the cats

Coffee – because it makes everything better

Treating myself to a triple choc brownie mid-week – I was totally eating my feelings but it was so worth it! I didn’t take a photo of it but it

Good friends who put up with your anxieties and weirdness

Friend coming over on Saturday from Sydney to spend the night

Buying two new books – the latest Liane Moriarty and Robert Galbraith

Being asked by a clinician on an inpatient ward if I could step in for a few days while they are on leave – while it will need to be approved by my manager, it’s nice to be thought of as someone who can do the job

That’s been my week. I’ve just been trying to get through each day. I feel like life has become a bit like that and I’m not sure if I like that. I’d prefer to have things to look forward to {and not just holidays}.

How has your week been?

Do share!
